Wow!!!! Had the Blackened Pork Chop. It was fantastic. I asked for recommendations and she told me it was the best item on the menu. Server was friendly.

Food was not amazing but it was good. However, this place is definitely not worth waiting in line. 1. It's super tiny so you will wait for some time. They should get rid of the full bar and add extra seating instead of seating people in front of the bathroom. 2. Roach in the bathroom and the kitchen does not... More

Mother's closed early so we came here. I had a Cucumber Bloody Mary and the dish in the pick. It was red beans with rice, andouille sausage, with French bread. It was delicious and the staff was great.. price was super affordable. I think my dish was only $13.

After traveling all day, what a wonderful hole-in-the-wall to settle into. Friendly service and great cheap-eats make this a worthwhile stop for weary travelers.

A friend and I stopped by here for a quick breakfast on our last day in New Orleans. It's a super small but adorable restaurant with lots of character. We didn't have any trouble with seating, as it wasn't full when we arrived around 11am on a Thursday. I usually have limited choices as a vegetarian for food when I... More

The hosts are very hospitable, the food is very good. A bit salty for us chicagoans, but portions are perfect, and the atmosphere is amazing and comforting. It really is a cafe more than a restaurant, and made us love it that much more

Stopped by for a quick bite. Was no place. Place only has about 10 tables? It's super small but cozy. We had a steak salad and a burger. Food was good, nothing exceptional but good.

I was here a little while ago. And I wanted to try the shrimp poboy. And wow was it huge but awesome. And Elisha was a fantastic server who was so nice. Even the bartender checked on me to make sure I was good. I love coming to Jimmy Js. I am really glad I came back.

Good reviews sent us walking the French Quarter for a birthday meal for my beautiful wife at Jimmy Js. Seated right away in this cozy, crazy little joint. It's small, maybe 15 tables. Typical, unconventional Nawlins. The food and service were good. Ok place and will go again. Got lots of other places to check out too.

Thank JackiLaw

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
