I came here after a recommendation from the valet at my hotel and he was spot on! Wasn't crowded at 8p, so I received lots of attention from the wait staff. Ordered a shrimp po boy that was huge and whatever spices were infused were delicious! Was really hungry so ordered a side salad, which wasn't necessary, as the portions... More

My wife went there on the suggestion of the front desk at the hotel. I had an omelet that was good my wife's eggs were good as well. The Bloody Mary was excellent. My wife had a hurricane and it was good as well. We will be back.

Stopped here for a late dinner, mostly because they were open 24 hours. What a pleasant surprise! Food was fabulous. I had a Cajun omelette that was very tasty, my daughter had a burger that was enormous. Service was good and prices were very reasonable. We would definitely stop here again.

Great place for quick bite away from the hustle and bustle. Great shrimp po'boys. The gumbo and red beans and rice are so tasty.

Every visit to NOLA requires one night at a high end restaurant for which the city is famous and another at Daisy Dukes Express for simple but great southern, creole, and cajun food in a dive bar. Start with a 16 ounce Bloody Mary (second one is free) while looking over the menu. This IS New Orleans on a Plate:... More

Went there around 10:00 one morning for breakfast before we left town after the Sugar Bowl. Someone had told us it was a good place to eat. There were 6 of us and we were seated immediately. The lady who seated us sort of snapped at me as she took drink orders because I had indicated my ticket included myself... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
