Had reservations at Revolution because we were staying at the Royal Sonesta hotel. Our appetizers were crab stuffed frog legs and sweetbreads. Both were phenomenal. Main courses were scallops on truffled white bean purée and ricotta cheese gnocchi with lobster. Small pillows of airy perfection...More

Our waiter and head host were such snobs! Fortunately the table team was exceptional and attentive. Food was certainly good but not over the top, especially given the tremendous restaurant options in New Orleans. The gumbo was far better at Chef Ron’s and Mena’s Palace....More

For my wife's Birthday Dinner, I initially made reservations at Arnaud's because of some good reviews, the history, and the online menu. But, unfortunately, Arnaud's was a no-go. Unbelievably crowded and loud. We wound up at Revolution and were able to get a small table...More

Went with great expectations - especially after the challenge getting a reservation. It was just OK, not great, not bad. super expensive with good service. The caviar steps were fun, but they were stingy when it came to the caviar. The crab benefits tasted like...More

Almost had to force the group to eat here and for the first time they all agreed "Excellent". Service, food and atmosphere were amazing. They were completely booked Thursday night or we would have eaten there again. Outstanding!

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living

of call for folks in search of a good time and a great
story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs
across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied
around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

I would think a collared shirt and dress shorts should be OK. You should strongly consider adding shoes to the mix, too. :)

Yes, not well set up for children and very busy bar. This is a dressy high end establishment. I would try someplace else.

Serving Lunch on Fridays, Dinner nightly and Sunday Jazz Brunch. Restaurant R'evolution is the first joint venture of award-winning Chefs John Folse and Rick Tramonto offering modern, imaginative reinterpretations of classic Cajun and Creole cuisine. Steeped in the diverse historic and cultural influences of Louisiana, the menu features not only the chefs' interpretations of New Orleans classics such as gumbo and beignets, but also new creations highlighting ingredients from what Chef Folse refers to as "the swamp floor pantry." Tableside service components play an important role in the dining experience, promoting guest engagement about the history and evolution of the food they are enjoying. Soups such as Creole Louisiana Snapping Turtle Soup and Death by Gumbo play on unusual presentations of these traditional dishes that date back centuries. Desserts showcase classical New Orleans sweets done in a new and contemporary way.
