On a recent weekend in New Orleans, three of us ate at Restaurant R’evolution. It’s a great new addition to the NOLA food scene and I give it five stars. It’s located on Bienville, just south of Bourbon Street. Two of us had a drink...More

So I find it rare that Trip Advisor lets me down, but it did here. A restaurant that I was really looking forward to visiting, great location and beautiful interior, but unfortunately those were the highlights. The service was average at best and our server...More

Everything about the evening was wonderful, from the bread/butter offering to the final surprise box of sweets. The wait staff is the most professional we've encountered in New Orleans. Dinners are well put together in terms of what is offered, and they are perfectly prepared....More

I have been lucky enough to dine at excellent restaurants in many countries on many continents. Among the top tier R'evolution is at the pinnacle. Chef John Folse has created a menu, a staff, a wine list, that is about as close to perfection as...More

This was our third visit to Revolution in three years. This trip was about a week of fine dining, and this restaurant was by far the best we dined at this year. Come hungry - food is rich and portions are large. The new roasted...More

We ate at several of the more formal restaurants. This one was the best. Got there at 5:25 for a 5:30 reservation and were immediately seated! Waited at the others. Menu was amazing. Service model was outstanding (thanks Scott and Justina). Wine list was great...More

This may be the best meal I've had in New Orleans. The service was top-notch. Our water was never empty, we were always attended to when we had questions and the food arrived just about when you thought it would. Each dish was beautifully prepared,...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living

well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

I would think a collared shirt and dress shorts should be OK. You should strongly consider adding shoes to the mix, too. :)

Yes, not well set up for children and very busy bar. This is a dressy high end establishment. I would try someplace else.

Serving Lunch on Fridays, Dinner nightly and Sunday Jazz Brunch. Restaurant R'evolution is the first joint venture of award-winning Chefs John Folse and Rick Tramonto offering modern, imaginative reinterpretations of classic Cajun and Creole cuisine. Steeped in the diverse historic and cultural influences of Louisiana, the menu features not only the chefs' interpretations of New Orleans classics such as gumbo and beignets, but also new creations highlighting ingredients from what Chef Folse refers to as "the swamp floor pantry." Tableside service components play an important role in the dining experience, promoting guest engagement about the history and evolution of the food they are enjoying. Soups such as Creole Louisiana Snapping Turtle Soup and Death by Gumbo play on unusual presentations of these traditional dishes that date back centuries. Desserts showcase classical New Orleans sweets done in a new and contemporary way.
