The venison carpaccio is excellent. They have good gumbo as well, but I suggest against the date by gumbo. Some people love it but to me I prefer the regular gumbo.

R’evolution was the most stylish, sophisticated and expensive restaurant we ate at in New Orleans. The cost was well worth it. We began with a shared order of fire-roasted oysters. They were awesome. For our entrees, one of us had the triptych of quail, the...More

Great sophisticated dining experience. This is not your run of the mill restaurant. The service was excellent and every course was an epicurean delight, with perfect wine pairing suggestions. The food is a class Cajun with a twist of French Nouveau. For appetizers we had...More

Was supposed to have a milestone birthday party for my wife here, which pushed a day due to the city shutting down for an impending "hurricane" (it missed). Dinner turned into a romantic dinner for 2 instead, that was impressive from the unusual (and very...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living

well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

I would think a collared shirt and dress shorts should be OK. You should strongly consider adding shoes to the mix, too. :)

Yes, not well set up for children and very busy bar. This is a dressy high end establishment. I would try someplace else.

Serving Lunch on Fridays, Dinner nightly and Sunday Jazz Brunch. Restaurant R'evolution is the first joint venture of award-winning Chefs John Folse and Rick Tramonto offering modern, imaginative reinterpretations of classic Cajun and Creole cuisine. Steeped in the diverse historic and cultural influences of Louisiana, the menu features not only the chefs' interpretations of New Orleans classics such as gumbo and beignets, but also new creations highlighting ingredients from what Chef Folse refers to as "the swamp floor pantry." Tableside service components play an important role in the dining experience, promoting guest engagement about the history and evolution of the food they are enjoying. Soups such as Creole Louisiana Snapping Turtle Soup and Death by Gumbo play on unusual presentations of these traditional dishes that date back centuries. Desserts showcase classical New Orleans sweets done in a new and contemporary way.
