Crab stuffed redfish was to die for! Our promised twenty minute wait was only five. The house red wine was sublime and the service was excellent. This place came highly recommended and it did not disappoint.

They sell variety food and very tasty. The pickup truck parked outside of the restaurant impressed and also made me curious what kind of place this is. Inside of the restaurant is also interesting and I got excited. Overall, I had the great food (fried...More

Overall food was good and the complimentary garlic cornbread was delicious! There was a long wait, but they're popular so that's to be expected. We sat in a drafty corner with creaky windows that let in some cigarette smoke from the people waiting outside because...More

If you have a party of two, you just may have a chance to dine on the back of an old pickup truck out front at Jacques-imos near Tulane in uptown New Orleans! It was fun and strangers took our picture. And the food was...More

So we have loved Jacques-Imo's Cafe since baby girl was in med school. We popped in on a Monday nite last week, and were seated fairly quickly behind the bustling open kitchen. Husband was dieting, and jonesing for the crabcakes he found on the online...More

Great atmosphere and delicious food. Started with the alligator and shrimp cheesecake.... It was so great! For dinner I had the crawfish étouffée which was fine, nothing really to write home about. But my husband got the jambalaya and boudin balls - we had a...More

A friend recommended we venture out of the French Quarter for dinner while in New Orleans, and boy are we glad he did! We took the open-air green line streetcar down St. Charles for a half-hour picturesque ride through the Garden District, getting off near...More

We were disappointed with our meal. The food was ok. Typical for a bar and not a restaurant. Expected better. The prices were reasonable. The service was good.

A friend recommended Jacques-Imo as an option if we do not want to get all dressed up for an exquisite dinner. Her recommendation hit the spot. JI served one of the best Grouper I've ever had. It was grill with a slightly sweet sauce over...More

Very much their own self sufficient unit within the
greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down
the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate

students living in the area ensure that Uptown and
Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly

I went there with locals who were born and raised in NOLA and we went to a really great jazz music bar after dinner which was right next door. The neighborhood seemed artsy so there may be other things going on too. We took... More

Check on Yelp. Their food was just ok, I'd check out Brigsten's in the same neighborhood.
