I've seen this place for years when coming to NOLA, but I've always thought of it as just another French Quarter tourist restaurant. I couldn't have been more wrong. It's superb. One of the best seafood meals of my life. A fantastic and festive environment...More

Booked for dinner for myself and had a lovely waiter, Ryan. Took his recommendations for the entire meal. Started with shrimp and grits, and had another seafood dish for an entree. By the time my entree arrived, I was already feeling sick. Passed on dessert...More

Located across the street from Arnaud's on Bienville just off Bourbon is our favorite restaurant to dine when in New Orleans. You just need to know to make reservations (I was only able to get us in at 10:00 booking 3-days in advance on OpenTable......More

We came here two years ago and despite a faintly snooty woman front of house (in New Orleans!), we rated the food and service very highly, with the broiled oysters being a real highlight. Two years later, it was not the same experience. Front of...More

Love, love, LOVE this restaurant. My friend and I dined at the bar. Service was terrific. Lobster dumplings were to-die-for. The sheepshead fish and dirty rice were amazing. Highly recommend!

Like so many of the restaurants in New Orleans, I found the food rather bland and boring and really not up to the world class restaurants. While GW fins was number 1 rated in TA, you should go in with medium expectations. I would agree...More

Just incredible food. Love the signature scallibut and tried the outstanding sheepshead fish. Last time we had exceptional service, but tonight the server was phoning it in. Got the drink order wrong and dropped them off so fast we didn't even have time to tell...More

Loved dinner at GW Fins. Nice atmosphere and great service without being stuffy. The biscuits are great and the smoked sizzling oysters with drawn butter were a winner. Scalibut is fabulous with chunks of lobster in the risotto. Had the special fish of the night,...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty

Description
Experience the cuisine that has created raving fans of local diners and national and local food critics alike. Chef Tenney Flynn (two time winner of "Chef of the Year" in New Orleans Magazine) ensures the highest quality seafood by flying in products from around the globe and featuring only the best from local waters - both at their seasonal peak. This commitment to freshness and variety are two of the many reasons GW Fins prints its menu daily and has received numerous glowing reviews in The Times-Picayune (4 beans), Food & Wine, Southern Living and Esquire magazines. We look forward to serving you soon so we may learn what you think.
