OK doesn't happen often seafood, pork chop entree, appetizers, and every seafood order for a party of 8 was perfect. I think if we ordered 8 fried Lobster tails and anything else there was no way this place could go wrong. Service was excellent and The chef has got this place humming. Excellent food. GO.

Rated as one of the top restaurants in NOLA, deservedly so. We had dinner here one night during our October trip. Popular spot. Reservations are highly recommended! Ambiance is lovely, upscale/dressy. Nice decor. Service was efficient & staff was very polite & friendly. We didn't feel rushed at all, in fact noticed that they were clearing out & setting up... Dinner was solid with great service, but The Salty Malty for dessert was off the charts! I would return just for this dessert.

My son has worked as a chef at fine-dining restaurants in New Orleans for the last five years, so I have the opportunity to visit the city two or three times a year. Each trip is food-centric, and he always picks one place that he wants to try but can't afford (what are dads for, anyway?) This trip it was... More

When we walked in we were immediately charmed by our host; once seated, I was thrilled when two of us who were wearing black at once had their napkins exchanged for black ones! Talk about attention to detail. Surely we have all had our outfits ruined by white linen napkins. It won't happen here- all the staff cares, and is... More

Great restaurant with extremely fresh seafood and great service. Will definitely be back. Red snapper with crawfish sauce and fried okra strips was decadent.

After many trips to NOLA and many restaurant visits, I have to say that GW Fins is the absolute best dining experience in The Big Easy. The food, service, and ambiance was perfection. The seafood options were fresh and flavorful. My husband tends to not choose seafood for his entree and he claimed the steak was the best he had... More

This was my second trip to New Orleans and our meal at GW Fins was the best I have ever had! Our waiter was amazing and very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. The oysters were to die for and the Red Snapper was great too! We will be coming back next time we are in the Big Easy!!!!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
