My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Irene's. I had the most delicious lasagna dish. Of the six dinners I ate in New Orleans, Irene ranks in the top two!

Of the Italian restaurants in New Orleans proper Irene's is quite good. The atmosphere is very nice. The entrees and deserts are delicious. I recommend it overall.

There is some on street parking but watch that you park legally or they'll tow you . There are paid parking lots and then you can walk a couple of blocks to the restaurant.

You should be able to make reservations over the phone. Mardi Gras may have affected the hours they are open.
