We all ordered from the 3 Course meal and were not disappointed. Service was very attentive (the bartender with the white glasses was a bit of a knob) and had a good sense of humour. The turtle soup was great, steak was cooked to perfection...More

Asked around about steakhouses and was directed to Dickie Brennan's. My wife and I both had Filets, wonderful! Sides were the creamed spinach and pontalba potatoes, fabulous! and then there was the service, everyone was just great!

Great steak and what a great service, we loved this nice lady with such an humour whom helped us. Just pity that it is quite expensive for a steakhouse, same if the steak is excellent, you have to pay for the vegetable or potatoes as...More

Dickie Brennan's has very good reviews on trip advisor and Zagat and we decided to try it. We have been to New Orleans many times and gone to most of the good restaurants. I ordered a wedge salad to start which was excellent and a...More

Our party of four were pleased with our menu selections of prime rib (3) and ribeye steak. We choose side salads, asparagus and creamed spinach to accompany the entrees. For desert we elected bread pudding and sweet potato cake. The entrees and deserts were outstanding....More

We were looking for a restaurant with great food, wonderful atmosphere and attentive staff. Dickie Brennan's went over the top in delivering all three. Having arrived early for our reservation we settled into the intimate bar for a before dinner drink. Tony and Mathew delivered...More

Visited here while on holiday for my partners 50th birthday. Food was wonderful and they went the extra mile with balloons and confetti and a surprise desert for him aswell. Would definitely visit again next time we are visiting new orleans.

We had eaten here many times before dropping by for some of their bar food. It reconfirmed to me that eating at the tourist restaurants in the French Quarter should be avoided. One of our guests became sick later that evening and most of us...More

My wife had been here a couple of times for business. She was always amazed at the prices someone would pay. This place in not cheap. But, sometimes you get what you pay for. This is one of those places. Truly excellent food. Since this...More

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the

The restaurant you are thinking of That is connected to the Astor Crowne Plaza is Bourbon House, which is our sister restaurant. We are a couple doors down at 716 Iberville so only a short walk from the Astor.

This restaurant is mainly a steak house. They do offer several seafood dishes and salads, but the majority of dishes contain meat.

I've only eaten there at night. It's not so formal but I wouldn't wear super-casual attire to eat here.
