I really liked this place, the decor is very nice and the food was great. Everything we ordered was delicious. You can really tell they use fresh ingredients and that they look for quality. I recommend it to anyone in town. I had a tuna sandwich that really surpassed all my lunch expectations.

Had the Muscovy duck confit with dirty rice. Perfection! Attentive, friendly staff. We sat at one of the outdoor tables; the weather wasn't too hot or humid so it was fun to sit outside and people-watch while we ate.

I remember when Herb Saint opened and it was the place to eat. You almost HAD to have a reservation. I haven't eaten here in a good four years or so. (I come to New Orleans every two years for six months) I stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised there was no wait. I sat down and ordered... More

We really enjoyed our meal at Herbsaint. The service was amazing with friendly wait staff who were not shy with recommendations. We started with appetizers. The oysters in cornmeal breading were a hit, the gumbo was well-received, the lamb belly special was tasty and the ceviche was devine. I had the duck confit signature dish and it was good but... There are many many places to eat in NOLA. This restaurant has received rave reviews but it's nothing special. It's no better than many others in NOLA, but it is expensive for what it delivers. Yes...it was crowded & lively but the food was....well average. Don't waste your hard earned vacation money here.

Just off a St. Charles street car stop and a pleasant 10 minute walk from Canal Street, this culinary gem in the historical and rejuvenating Warehouse district will introduce you to the creative cajun and New Orleans cuisine of Donald Link. Tucked away from the crowds and under some old trees, the cocktails, meals and wine flights soar to culinary... More

So, my wife and I always enjoy a great meal, and Herbsaint totally delivered. we are NOT " foodies ", we just love to go to great restaurants and eat REAL food, not something that looks like a pretty design. we hit all of the usual in NOLA, Emerils Delmonico, Commanders Palace, etc... but Herbsaint knocked it out of the... This is not the place for a nice meal in a quiet setting. Its noisy, crowed, and the staff is rude. The food is good, but the food is also good at Nolas, Antoines, Mr. B's, and a host of other restaurants in New Orleans. We were seated at the restaurant version of the lunch counter. The tables that seat... More

Herbsaint is our go to restaurant when we visit New Orleans. We are going again soon and I can't wait to have dinner there. It's not a large restaurant, nor does it have fancy tablecloths and waiters in dress uniforms, but it's pleasant and the service is good and the food delivers. The menu changes and EVERYTHING we've tried there... More

The food st Herbsaint was great! We sat outside on the patio and it was lovely. Great service. This was a Monday night and even then, you need a reservation.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
