Wow. I cannot remember when I've had such great service and food. The waiter referred to me by name(!). The bar staff was so friendly , we were early, and recommended we wait with drinks out on the terrace. A perfect night. Drinks, food and service were impeccable. I will be back every time I return to NOLA

breakfast at Brennan's? It's as famous as "Breakfast at Tiffany's." We spent the week before Christmas in New Orleans and stopped at Brennan's for breakfast, dinner and also a separate visit for dessert only. Located in the heart of The French Quarter, this is the place to frequent if you want the true "New Orleans experience." A main requisite is... More

While planning a girls weekend with my friends, we made Sunday morning brunch reservations for Brennan's. I have always wanted to eat there. We couldn't get a reservation for 7, so we made one for 4 and one for 3. When we arrived, we felt a little under dressed. Everyone looked so nice and we were a bit casual. None... More

aka Racist Experience at Gourmet Restaurant with Outdated Reputation I came here specifically for the "exquisite service" and banana's foster. What I found was by far one of the biggest disappointments in my life. 2nd to worst racist experience in my life. I did my research, made my reservations and arrived on time. Ambiance // The recommended "dress code" is... More

The food was excellent, the drinks were strong, the staff was amazing, and the prices were steep--everything you would expect from one of NOLA's flagship fine dining establishments. I was lucky enough to be there on a night when they were preparing Steak Diane table side, and that was a wonder to behold. That said, I have to knock off... More

I love coming here. The wait staff is educated and entertaining. The menu - to die for. Steak Diane is prepared tableside. As is the world famous Bananas Foster - have your cameras ready. The gumbo here is spicy - but it is only hot in your mouth, not on your lips (how do they do that?) My red fish... More

This was our first time under the new ownership and while the food was hit and miss (BBQ Lobster was great as well as the pork wrapped in bacon over gumbo - shrimp omelette was just boring and eggs sardou not the same) the service left a lot to be desired. Our waiter was nice and checked on us every... More

My husband and I used drinks and dinner at Brennan's as a pretext to order their infamous bananas Foster for dessert -- evidently, people do go there just for the bananas, but we were craving a fuller adventure... We started off with two fantastic cocktails: a Sazerac No. 70 for him, a Caribbean milk punch for me... The waiter was... More

NOLA and Brennan's are synonymous. You just cannot visit NOLA without a meal in this fine establishment. I was there with my family celebrating my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. My Dad wanted breakfast at Brennan's. They gladly accommodated our family of 9. The food was divine and the service impeccable. They made our time together so enjoyable and even gifted... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
