Cute and quaint! Needed a reservation with a group of 6, but very much worth it! Delicious and fresh food. Simple yet full of flavor. Definitely a NOLA must!!

After a walking tour in the Garden District we had brunch at Atchafalaya. You definitely need reservations for brunch. Nice wines by the glass are available. Had the eggs Atchafalaya, poached eggs on fried green tomatoes with creole hollandaise topped with lump crab. They were excellent. Had a side of alligator sausage that was really tasty! Highly recommend this for... More
We ate dinner here at the recommendation of other trip advisor reviews. Food wasn't bad by any means but was not great either, and for the price, it should be. Waiter could have been friendlier. I wouldn't return here and nothing "wowed" me. In my opinion there are far better restaurants to try in New Orleans.
Hats off to Atchafalaya who honored our dinner reservation when we showed up a night early. The 15 min wait for a table flew by with the help of a cocktail and live jazz music from a trio that played six instruments. The food was excellent although service was stretched by a large (25 person) party in an upstairs private... More
While we expected a unique menu, we did not expect how difficult it would be to choose which item to eat! Our waiter was great, explaining in detail what each course was. We finally decided on the sweet corn and crawfish soup to start. I got the lake fish, my husband got the pork chops and my daughter ordered the... More
Do yourselves a favor and reserve a table three weeks ahead of your visit! Drop ins can expect a wait of 1 1/2 hours because there are only a few actual tables. Live music was nice, staff was very friendly. Walking distance from the Garden district streetcar.

Walked two blocks from our VRBO for a brunch without a reservation and were fortunate enough to get a table (do your self a favor and book a table - I read Yelp wrong. . .) A... More
The food is, indeed, excellent. The french toast made with rolls and banana fosters was absolutely delicious and light. Not too sweet and not too heavy. Maybe simmer the bananas in the sauce a bit before serving? Cornbread was also excellent, yet not as moist as Cafe Pascals in Santa Fe. The highlight were the desserts with the chocolate trifle...
