Affordable Cuban food, this is a good choice for budget conscious diners, whether for lunch or dinner.

Yeah, I said rat. I should have said it sooner... So, I lived in Key West about 20 years ago, and I'd been missing the Cuban sandwiches and coffee. My fianceé and I had also just seen the recent film, "Chef", where they focus on Cuban sandwiches. We were in New Orleans for my birthday, and when we found this... More

I love this place - the food is fantastic and authentic. Reasonably priced as well. The location is good, between the CBD and French Quarter, it is easily walkable if you are staying in the Quarter. The service is always good and so if you are out and about and had your fill of Red Beans and Rice and Fried... More

This appears to be a family owned business in the Central Business District in New Orleans. It is a clean place and the staff seems pleasant enough. It is very average in quality of food. Nothing to write home about but I suppose it suffices for a quick lunch. I have visited Cuban themed restaurants in the past and this... More

We stopped for lunch, looking for some typical cuban plates. We found a waiter not happy with his job and not willing to describe the menu and much less the specials. Fortunately one of our crew had a notion of what to get and food turned out good but on the pricey side for Lunch portion. I would get my... More

we ate there because we were staying next store at the country inn and suites and we were in a hurry. I ordered the pork sandwich it was very dry so I ask for mayo. The waiter brought me a little bowl with a few packages a mayo like you get at a gas station. I open one and squeezed... More

I had an itch for some cuban coffee, and Liborio's was open for lunch. We were just about finished with lunch, when my fiancee noticed a VERY large, dead cockroach under the chair beside us. I told her the food didn't taste any different AFTER she saw it than it did BEFORE she saw it. I was just glad it... More

Needs a good cleaning. Right next door to the County Inn and Suite on Magazine. I got the Cuban pork sandwich which was not great. As I was waiting I looked up and could not believe the filth hanging on the ceiling fans.

Was looking forward to eating here again after visiting a couple of years ago. The $10 Cuban sandwich was not worth the money and came with no sides. They no longer serve croquetas and only had 1 of the 5 named deserts available. Went for lunch on a Friday and only had one waiter for the entire restaurant. NOT WORTH... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
