Got there 10:00 AM and asked if they would serve lunch. It took a while, but they did. The fried shrimp was good, catfish excellent. My friends had gumbo and shrimp & grits, both were great. Service was exceptionally friendly.

Was in New Orleans on business and stopped in for dinner at Pierre Maspero's again. As usual the food was excellent. I ate at the bar this time. Service was great as always. I also really enjoyed meeting the other patrons sitting on both sides of me. Made the evening that much better. Love this place.

I had never been to New Orleans and I'm honestly not comfortable traveling to busy places. We had no idea that the day we were there was the beginning of Mardi Gras. When we decided to stop for something to eat we found this place. Even though I didn't try anything different then I would normally eat, I did like... More

This is in a really old building in New Orleans, it is where Andrew Jackson met the Lafitte brother to plan the Battle of New Orleans; it was recommended by our concierge as a place with a varied menu. And they do have a large menu. I had the blackened jambalaya with chicken and andouille and it was really very... More

Went there for Valentines Day First they had a bottle of wine for $10. You can't get a glass of wine that cheap in the French Quarter. Had the Cajun Red Fish and add the lump crab and it was delicious. The vegetables it came with were also great. This has to be without a doubt one of the best... More

This is my favorite restaurant in the French Quarter! Recommendations: Breakfast: The Louisiana Lost Bread & The Maspero's Omelet. I would recommend sharing with a friend so you can get a taste of both (and because the portions are big). Many have commented how "busy" & "loud" it is.. It's in the French Quarter.. depending on the time of year... More

This place was hopping and we ended up eating at the bar. The service was great. I had the redfish and it was little dry. I had the Mirliton Slaw and Smoked Potato Puree. They were okay any not amazing. I expected more based on the history.

The restaurant was very busy when we stopped in. It took a really long time for us to get our food because it was so busy. I ordered biscuits and gravy which were really good. My husband ordered Couchon de Lait which he didn't like. He said it didn't taste very good. The service was fine considering how busy it... More

Trip Advisor for the win again! Love trying new places. We'd just arrived and were hungry. Checked for somewhere close with good reviews. Everyone in our party ordered something different and we all enjoyed our meals. It's always fun to try something new

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
