My first visit to New Orleans and Deanies was recommended by a local. Of course there was a line, of course it was hot! Well worth the wait. I loved the ambiance and vibe. I had shrimp etouffe and it was delicious! Nice hefty serving!...More

This was our third trip to Deanie's Seafood. Three years ago was by far the best. This time we were slightly disappointed. The fried oysters were a little mushy and the shrimp tasted more "fried" than like fresh shrimp. We did not have a bad...More

Deanie's seafood was absolutely great. The service was fast and the food was prepared sumptuously. Party of 5 who shared the giant seafood platter and still took home leftovers. The giant platter is only $69.99!!!!! It had shrimp, catfish, crawfish, and oysters.

We only spent one day in New Orleans but five people told us to come to Deanie's so we made this our final stop after a full day of walking and shopping. Excellent service, enjoyable and comfortable setting, and delectable selections for the seafood lovers....More

My wife and I chose to eat here, in part because of convenience, in part because of blogs I read. We ate at the bar because the wait was long. The bartenders were extremely busy so we did not receive as much attention as you...More

Deanne's reminds me of a neighborhood seafood restaurant in a beach town. It is off the beaten path a little and a welcome change from the noise of the French Quarter The complimentary seasoned red skinned potatoes were a surprisingly delicious appetizer. The gumbo was...More

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title

little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
