This apparently has been a famous New Orleans restaurant for decades, and that is precisely how it felt and the food looked and tasted. Old and outdated. Entrees were overpriced and the waitress raved about the filet medallions with their famous drippings sauce. When it was presented, it was two overcooked and tough pieces of beef with a thick brown... More

My husband and I both had the Pecan encrusted flounder. Great! Perfect! Best! Magnificent! I can't describe this fish. The flounder was fried in a pecan flour served in a sauce of pecans, jalapeno, etc. The mashed potatoes were the real deal. Rolls were freshly baked. I recommend visitors to NOLA eat here at least once. Worth the visit.

We went for lunch on a Saturday and were seated very quickly. Food was outstanding and service was very good. We tried a number of things and all of the items were cooked properly. We had gumbo, potato soup, shrimp po-boy and crawfish enchilada. We would definitely go back!

I have been here before and this really was a 4 1/2 for me. I had the drum fish, very good sauce but the fish was just okay. As Guy Fieri would say, this sauce would taste good on a flip flop and it was...we had a large group and not their fault we had a group next to us... More

There were 12 of us and we were seated in the back garden room. Wait staff were excellent and food was delicious. This is always a go to place for me but they recommend reservations.

We were in New Orleans celebrating our anniversary and wanted a special place for dinner. K-Paul's was recommended to us so we decided to try it. We had an early reservation and they had been told it was a special celebration. We were promptly seated at a nice table that had been specially decorated. Our server was there quickly and... More

What an awesome experience at K Paul's restaurant! We didn't originally sit in Sheila's section, but ended up there by luck. What service! She didn't think what we ordered was appropriate for our first time, so she told us to get the drumfish and the steak, both of which were fantastic!! Definitely a good choice! After she told us we... This restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel concierge. We were so glad that we listened. The food was excellent. Atmosphere excellent. Service excellent. Conveniently located in the French quarter. Don't miss this gem. Specializing in Cajun creole & barbecue. We all agreed at the end of the meal that the bread pudding dessert was by far the best... We've been back a couple times and each time impressed with the food. Great service, but the food is amazing. The blackened drum was perfect. Ask for a tour of the kitchen, they let you see where the magic happens.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
