This was right next to our hotel so when we were looking for dinner at 915PM this was the obvious choice. The hotel clerk also recommended it. The restaurant wasn't very full when we got there so service was quite fast. The menu had most of the typical items one would expect at a Mexican restaurant as well as some... More

The food was very good. Atmosphere was ok. It was a little loudl. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly. We took the streetcar from the Hampton on St Charles. I would definitely return.

Superior Grill has become a staple in the New Orleans food scene. The appeal begins with the foundation of Mexican food and continues with the fun atmosphere and bar. They serve a killer brunch on the weekend. The location on St. Charles Avenue and the street car line is convenient.

I'm going to make this a short and to the point review as we have had very good experiences with both the food and service there in the past. Tonight was horrible. The service was ridiculously slow even though it wasn't very busy and the food was not as good as usual. I'm not sure if the manager wasn't there... More

Fajitas were delicious! I made reservations and requested to sit on patio and they honored my request. This is a must go for us every time we are in New Orleans!

The servicer was good and attentive. The place was nicely decorated. Was able to hold a conversation even with it being crowded. The food was average, not well seasoned but the portion was good. The dipping trio for the chips was the highlight of our meal. A bit pricey for what we had.

Nice quiet early evening meal with great service; drinks delicious; great variety of meal selections, just missed the taste on one dish with too much cheese sauce.

Busy restaurant with good mexican food. I had crawfish enchiladas which were great. The service was a little slow.

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
