Never start a review with dessert but the bread pudding seemed to be the best ever at the time and proved. This writer does not usually eat dessert but was accompanied by two newlywed Italians with a taste for sweets. After we tried bread pudding...More

I stayed next door at the new Eliza Jane, and was looking for something fairly quick. The restaurant is very well decorated, excellent service, and was fortunate to be seated quickly. The entree was perfect, and the bread pudding for dessert, no complaints and will...More

I went here because I was in the downtown area on business and this was close to my hotel. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but once inside, the décor is everything you'd want to see in a vintage restaurant. It's rather small...More

This venue was suggested by the manager of our B&B and it was delightful. Beautifully prepared food, quality service, and the most graceful of hosts.

We stopped in for dinner one evening and it was awesome. The crawfish dinner was everything I was dreaming of when you think of a Cajun dinner. Everyone enjoyed their dinner and the service was great. I would definitely come back.

My husband had the famous crab au gratin and was very happy. My favorite was the bread pudding in whiskey sauce.

Canal Street represented (and to some extent still does) the boundary between the French Quarter and the Cajun area ( now CBD). This restaurant is very much Cajun and was a great place to visit. By far the tastiest food we’ve yet had in NoLo....More

I have been coming to this Restaurant for over 10 years. Always have had great food and friendly efficient service. But our visit on 3-6-18 was different. The food was great but the lady server was awful.1) she was pushy 2) non attentive 3) arrogant....More

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
