Food great but service was extremely slow! Very disappointing especially when you have a reservation! With all the good restaurants in NO, not worth the wait!

Like others I wish there were in between ratings because I'd give this one 3 1/2. The point is the prime rib was not only the featured star item, there wasn't much else to write home about. Both the menu cut prime rib and the chef's special (both generous cuts) completely delivered on preferred temperature and taste. The only other... More
This is one of the best restaurants for steak, ribs, hamburger in New Orleans. You need to know what to order from the menu. Stay with the "meats" dishes and you won't be disappointed. We had the best braised short rib sandwich for lunch ever! The portions are generous and the décor in the restaurant is elegant and classy! Service... More
The Rib Room was very elegant, we were celebrating a birthday and the service could not have been more outstanding. The prime rib was absolutely delicious,it melted in your month and the serving was more tha ample. My partner had chicken, which was outstanding, seasoned to perfection and enough to take home. The sides were ala carte, but Hugh potatoes... More
Prime rib here was excellent. Service slightly disappointing with waiter not being clear that he wanted to close the bill (tip) and finish his shift. Otherwise pleasant and accommodating staff and wonderful surroundings. Watty
My wife and I stayed at the Omni Royal in New Orleans and ate at the Rib Room, the hotel's restaurant. In a word, it was terrible. The specialty is prime rib and it was barely edible. It was salty and apparently brined in some solution that left a questionable aftertaste. When I inquired about the duck on the menu,... More
Firstly arrived with no reservation. Three people. The place was busy but lots of available tables. Seated efficiently enough. Service was an age! Bread was hard and had been around a while. We ordered wine - The Prisoner. Actually very nice but more costly than it should have been. One order of French onion soup. The stuff was inedible. Looked... More
My wife and I had one of the best meals we have ever had here. She had the braised short rib which was huge and delicious and I had the princess cut(about 14 oz) prime rib which melted in my mouth. The grits we shared as a side and we were stuffed. Excellent. If I could give this place more... More
Although not the highest rated steak joint in the quarter, we still had a fantastic meal and though our service got off to a slow start, Richard, our waiter, was a wonderful service representative that harkened back to days when crumb brushes and attention to detail were the norm. Wife had the turtle soup with Sherry, then the double chop.... More
I did not eat here so can't speak to the food. It was a very quiet place for drinks if you want to actually hear other people talk. Drinks were well made. Service was pretty slow. The bartender and waitress both seemed drunk on Easter Sunday which was strange. Also, they were talking to people(friends??) for long periods rather than... More
