Live Cajun band, friendly servers, and good food made this a very happy place to visit! We enjoyed it so much, we had dinner there three times in one week. Alligator IS like chicken, but with less flavour, but the remoullade more than made up...More

A hotel clerk told me this was the place to go to see live and original cajun music, and to taste real cajun food. Located near the convention center in downtown New Orleans, it was easy to find and there appears to be lots of...More

Ok. If your near the convention center and your in the mood for a taste of New Orleans then this place will satiate. However, it is at best mediocre when compared to the area. Don't get me wrong if this place opened in Atlanta Ga...More

Stopped for lunch at this large, casual restaurant with a great atmoshphere. Had their gumbo and muffaletta -their portions are huge. Somewhat noisy, but everyone was having fun.

This is our fourth time vacationing in New Orleans. Mulattes is a must visit to experience true New Orleans culture. Artwork on wall is a great. Today was the alligator bites and seafood gumbo.

Service, food, atmosphere.., loved this place. For an appetizer we had BBQ shrimp and Mardi Gras shrimp. Between the two the Mardi Gras shrimp was the best. The stuffed shrimp, twice baked potatoes and coleslaw was delicious. I prefer my slaw a little sweet so...More

We stumbled across Mulate's a block or so away from our hotel and so glad we did. The atmosphere with the music and people dancing was great, an authentic intro into the south! We had the grilled seafood platter and shrimp po boy, both huge...More

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title

little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts

Any of the above but you might want to do appetizers with drinks. Most people will have dinner then stay for The evening to watch the dancing.
