Get the firecracker shrimp po boy. It is delicious. A friend that used to live in New Orleans recommended this place. It's a little bit of a walk from the French quarter, but totally worth it!

Came here on a friends recommendation and it did not disappoint. The place is a dive, attached to a locals bar you'd never think the food would be so fresh and tasty. I ordered the firecracker shrimp and homemade onion rings and they were both...More

My husband and I were at a bar/restaurant in the French Quarter and asked our bartender for a restaurant recommendation. He suggested Parasol's...a personal favorite and one that he claimed serves the "best po-boys in NOLA"! We decided to give it a try...took a trolley...More

We stopped in for lunch before touring a nearby cemetery. We had been here for St Patrick's Day celebration in the past but had never eaten, so we decided to give it a try. This is a neighborhood bar and eatery in the Garden District....More

Sorry, I can't answer this question, but they may. Whatever they use was very light. Like Patricia suggested, you should call them.

Born in 1952, in the Irish Channel neighborhood, Parasol's is a New Orleans tradition that is known as THE place to go for roast beef po boys, and a huge St. Patricks Day block party. We are a neighborhood bar to the world, where everyone is welcome and treated like an old friend. Our kitchen is dedicated to taking old school New Orleans food to a new level of flavor and quality. Belly up to the old Irish bar and enjoy a pint of Guiness or wander upstairs to our smoke free dining room. You can indulge in our delicious food either way. Parasol's is a throw back to a simpler time when the social life of the neighborhood centered around the corner bar. A place where the stuff of life is discussed, celebrated and even mourned. At Parasol's it's all about you !
