Dinner was good. Jazz club intimate venue 80 max. We got to see the Bridge trio. 3 local boys "made good". They have written their own music and I am not a jazz expert however they had me mesmerised. It was a lovely set to listen to.

Great burger and derive but a little expensive for a burger. The drinks were also a little steep in price.

My husband and I both had a burger, which were advertised as having won an award, and I believe it. Later on we mentioned to a restaurant owner/friend where we had eaten, and were immediately asked if we had a burger, as they were best in town, praise indeed! It was very large and was also accompanied by a jacket... More

We ate here before our entertainment. Our food and service was very good. The blackened fish with rice and yellowfin tuna was prepared to our satisfaction. The pecan pie was especially good. We learned from our waiter, Erin B, the hostess made the pie. It was delicious. Overall a great experience.

We visited on a Saturday night for the 10:00 PM Jazz performance. We purchased our tickets online that morning. The show was sold out with a waiting list an hour before showtime, so I recommend buying tickets ahead of time if you don't want to miss out. We sat upstairs and had a very good view of the stage and... More

The interesting thing about this restaurant is that it is only open to the patrons of that evening's jazz concert or show. So, everyone is in anticipation of the evening;s festivities.. The food was OK, and I thought it was a bit expensive. So forgetaable that I don't even remember what I had. I think it was a cheeseburger.. The... More

Awesome low key place with equally awesome food. I got the salmon and a loaded baked potato and it was really good as well as everyone else's food in my group. This place is away from the crowd of bourbon and has a cool bar and jazz room with a live band in the back. (when I was there) Only... More

They named this place correctly, because it is definitely SNUG! We tried to catch the jazz show but not enough seats so we sat at the bar. Colleen the bartender was nice and patient as we decided what we are eating. Not much appealed to me but the burger was suggested so we tried it. It was good and we... More

It is well worth the money to get tickets to one of the two nightly shows which are held in an intimate hall in back of the bistro. Get there early to get the best seats but we were happy with our balcony seats, even arriving only 15 minutes before showtime. Excellent efficient service from our very welcoming waitress. Show... We returned for the 10:00 show and it was fantastic as always. Great bar and great service but most of all great music in a casual setting.

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
