Food was good, but it took over an hour to get an appetizer & soup. We had a reservation for a party of 8. We were seated right away. It took about 15 plus minutes to get drinks then another 45 mins. to an hour...More

Outdoor sitting is awesome with nice lights and you get to sit in the middle of a garden area. Overall food is ok. Not worth the money as it does not stay up to the hype. Service is welcoming and good. Grilled pork chops were...More

As a foursome, we enjoyed a perfect mid-afternoon in the courtyard of this restaurant, celebrating a birthday. The atmosphere was excellent and the food delicious. Some of the drinks were odd, though: a Moscow mule in a tall glass instead of the traditional brass cup,...More

Amazing food and ambiance. Service was great. We went with friends and ordered pork chop, pasta special and ahi tuna...all delicious, however my husbands favorite was the gumbo starter. My fave was the amelie baked oyster appetizer! Best dessert...order the DOBERGE CAKE!

The best thing about this restaurant is tthe setting, particularly the outdoor seating, although the inside was very nice as well. The food was good, not great, but good. That part was a little disappointing. Our wait person was excellent, but the other wait people...More

Absolutely average meal in a city bursting with some of the best kitchens in the world. I get better shrimp at Safeway. Meals are so pre-made that they couldn't possibly be bothered by making a piece of catfish without the seasoning for a guest with...More

Recently we had the pleasure of dining outdoors in this lovely, romantic courtyard. Cocktails to start were perfect. Michael was our server, and he is not only efficient and knowledgeable, he was also very friendly. Started with appy's Satsuma Shrimp and the Shrimp and Grits,...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great
story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs
across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied
around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

Hello. No, there is no dress code. It's very casual, but you could certainly dress up if you wanted. You wouldn't be out of place either way, casual or dressy. It is just so one of those: 'just relax and be you and do what... More

Description
Please note that the courtyard is seated on a first come, first serve basis. A reservation does not guarantee seating in the courtyard but we will have a table available inside our beautiful, historic carriage house. We normally allow reservation space for only 50% of the dining room to accommodate walk-ins. Additionally, in order to accommodate all of our guests who are waiting to be seated, we are only able to seat your party once everyone has arrived. Nestled in the historic 150-year-old Princess of Monaco Courtyard and Carriage House on Royal Street in the French Quarter, Cafe Amelie is a rare combination of superb Louisiana fare served in a lush, enchanting New Orleans courtyard setting. Cafe Amelie has a full bar offering an array of signature cocktail creations. Cafe Amelie and the accompanying Princess of Monaco Courtyard are also available for private parties, weddings and receptions.
