We went here on a recommendation from our concierge and it didn't disappoint. It is a less expensive option from Cochon. There are places to sit and eat, both inside and out, outside seating is limited. The meat is really good. We had a warm...More

This restaurant came highly recommend for our group- and it was well deserved! Each member in our party loved their menu choice- and truly these were the best grilled oysters we have ever had. We highly recommend. The restaurant does get a bit loud, which...More

Stopped in to have a quick bite and we shared two sandwiches, the 'Buckboard Bacon Melt' and the 'Cold Roast Beef'. Wish that we had a couple of more days in New Orleans as we certainly would have returned to the Cochon Butcher to try...More

Sandwiches look small, but they will fill you up. I have never been to or heard of this place as many times that I have traveled to New Orleans. Go, go, go!! Delicious and generous. Great old school butcher shop. Fresh!!

A great place to eat. They've tried to bring out different taste nuances and they were pretty good in this I must say. So, a great taste experience. Comparing with all other places we ate during our trip it was quite expensive but comparing with...More

It's all about the pickles at Cochon Butcher. My family enjoyed four different sandwich offerings and enjoyed them all. We fought over the pickles. I looked past the 10 oz drafts, and accepted the fact that it was great beer that matched well with my...More

Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district
is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing
assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having
moved in and set up shop throughout the disused
warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much
of the art you'll come across here is local in scope,
ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old
brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and

Cochon captures the true essence of Cajun and Southern cooking. Chefs Donald Link and Stephen Stryjewski bring their love for southern Louisiana foods to every plate at Cochon. Donald's experience cooking with his family at their homes in Crowley and Rayne allow guests to share in his passion for real country and home cooking. The food is focused and simple, featuring roasted meats with natural sauces, homemade sausages, and fresh local seafood. The menu compliments the rustic, yet contemporary setting of the dining room. The Bar at Cochon features signature cocktails as well as the classic libations of New Orleans. A diverse beer selection with an emphasis on local micro-brews offers a cool contrast with the sometimes spicy cuisine.
