Our group of six enjoyed a tasty breakfast here last week. Ordered were pancakes, Cajun breakfast plates , omelets and a St James Crepe. All were delicious and very generous in portion. In fact no one ate anything until dinner. Our server was Pamela. She is the embodiment of Southern hospitality. Full of suggestions and stories about New Orleans. Ask... More

This restaurant is located right in the French Quarter. Ambiance is fun. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was great. A lot of items are deep fried. Portions are large.

We were so pleased to find this restaurant as it had a delightful courtyard where we were able to sit and enjoy a yummy brunch ! My husband said the seafood omelette was one of the best he'd ever had and my son really appreciated his alligator sausages. The staff were very cheery and friendly, so we would definitely recommend... More

Our party of 11 divided into 2 tables. 3 floors of dining and steep steps, but may be an elevator. Very good value and service. Reserve or stand in line. Right by our Hotel le Marais which had no restaurant so we used Oceana for a couple meals

This restaurant was recommended to us. When we looked in the door it seemed small and dark, but the restaurant seating was upstairs. They has a nice eating area and we enjoyed the decor. I ate ribs because I wanted a change from the Cajun quisine. The ribs were tender and so tasty. They agreed to let me substitute garlic... More

Without hesitation, I give this place five stars! I got the biscuits and gravy with a side of hash browns, and man, that was a LOT of food! It was so very good too! Jamal took extra good care of me, always polite and courteous. I could not have asked for a better experience! I'll be back!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
