Visiting New Orleans, you really should go to Luke's for their happy hour. Great cocktails and the Oysters are some of the best in NOLA. $0.75 per oyster and half price specialty cocktails that are not watered down. Highly recommend.

We had a great waiter who helped us make good choices. The gnocchi with greens was exceptional, as were the brussel sprouts. Shrimp & grits were recommended, but didn't seem to be over the top as the other items were

Went to Luke based on reviews. The service was good despite being crazy busy. Food was decent but I was expecting a bit more. Worth checking out again.

Happy Hour runs from 3 to 6 pm every day. This means half off signature cocktails and beer, and 75 cents for P & J oysters on the half shell. We got a dozen oysters, two cocktails, and two beers for less than $40 (but...More

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts

Luke New Orleans is Besh's homage to the grand old Franco-German brasseries that once reigned in New Orleans. Luke offers an extensive French, German, and Belgian beer selection, including three exclusive house brews [custom-made in Louisiana]. The cuisine is unaffectedly Old World, using slow and traditional cooking techniques. The wine list features reds and whites from the Loire, Alsace, and Savoie regions, as well as Badischerwiens of Germany. Since opening in 2007, Luke has been hailed by Conde Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, and The Times-Picayune Lagniappe, which awarded Luke an impressive three bean-ranking for its "disarmingly home-spun culinary touches and broad-shouldered dishes that satisfy something more than just an appetit."
