Good atmosphere and quality food in Brasserie Traube - we visit every year when we ski in Zell am See/Kaprun. Large portions - perfect for teenage boys apres ski.

We were four people that had got this restaurant recommended so we had high expectations. First impressions were good and the waitress had a good attitude. So a good start. Now to the food. I guess it's late in the winter season so people in the kitchen were tired because the lady steak and the normal steak should have been... More

A really cozy little spot, very warm inside! This place has a great atmosphere, we visited on a Friday evening and it was very busy with large groups of friends and couples. We were lucky to get a table as we didn't book. The food is good, we had a platter with ribs and chicken and the carbonara. The platter... More

This restaurant is one of the finest in Zell. It was recommended to us by a friend and oh everything we were told was true. The atmosphere is fantastic, low lights lots of candles and intimate dining. It gets booked out very quickly especially at week-ends. One can sit at the bar while waiting for a table and enjoy a... We walked by the restaurant early evening and it looked busy, we pooped in to see if we could get a table. Luckily for us there was only one left. The staff were lovely and the food fantastic.

Wow, what a night. We booked a table for 8 persons. We had been to the biathlon in Hochfilzen all day so we had been drinking for 6-7 hours. When we arrived we had to wait 20-25 min for our table, and we spent that time in the bar drinking really bad drinks. Thats when we lost the first two... More

Serves very nice burgers and ribs. It's a lovely small place and the staff makes you feel welcome. It's a shame we didn't stay long enough to try everything!

My meal was very disappointing. We ordered nachos for the starter. I mean there is not much you can't do with nachos but it's hard to make them bad so I don't know how they did it. One of our waiters was clearly having a bad day cause she was rude and ignored us when we called her over but... More

Visited this eating place recently. Food was good, basic but plentiful. The nachos lacked much melted cheese and were very dry overall, We had grill platters which had ribs and wings. Staff very quirky and full of personality however they were constantly topping up our glasses and it became obvious they wanted to sell more wine by doing this. I... More

Dear Peter W Thank you for your comments. Yes, you are right nacho Chips with cheddar cheese and 3 Dips and the Brasserie Traube platter (not a grill platter it is ribs, chicken wings, garlic bread and cob on the corn with 3 different home made Dips) are Basic food. We have though much more than that on the menu... More

We never ready any Trip Advisor reviews beforehand, just dropped by in search of something else instead of traditional alpine food. We found great food, well selected wines and very friendly staff. Came back for a second time too to see if the first try was just luck. It wasn't. Gladly recommend this little gem of a restaurant!
