This is a rough and ready place, with tables outside. The owner barbecued the meat herself. We chose steak and the hand-rubbed ribs, which came with beans and coleslaw. Absolutely delicious. Draft beer, reasonable prices and very friendly service. Nothing fancy, but a great choice...for dinner.More

We started with the grilled jalapeños and they did not disappoint. Order those. We then split the rib sampler. All 5 varieties were good, although next time I would order an entire rack of the original which were the BEST. We topped off the meal...with a peach cobbler a la mode which was delicious! I would go back without a second thought.More

Excellent ribs, onion rings and burger in a relaxed environment in a small town outside Joshua Tree Nat'l Park. Ribs with house made bbq sauce were fall off the bone tender, onion rings fresh and hand dipped, and a must have if you like onion...rings. Friendly staff.More

It's pretty obvious this is the number one place in town. On a Saturday night just about every other restaurant was closed! This spot was packed with about two dozen people waiting outside for a table, most of them young Marines from the base. The...baby back ribs were as tender and juicy as you will find anywhere and worth the really long wait from over-worked servers.More

We waited for almost an hour to get seated at this restaurant which is very popular. Food was average in general, nothing exciting to report. Unfortunately there were not many dining options late in the evening in 29 Palms.

We stayed in 29 Palms for 4 nights and ordered food here 3 of those nights! We loved supporting a small local business. The ribs are delicious as are the baked beans. We found it best to place our order by phone ahead of time...versus going directly there to place a take-out order. We learned this from a local. The restaurant is busy and orders can take time! ID is required when paying by credit card.More

I felt bad for the staff last night. They said 2 people called in sick. Despite the 2 hour wait for take out, the food was delicious. The staff remained polite and friendly despite how hard they were working. Appreciated that.

We ordered ribs, chicken, meatloaf, and the steak dinner to take back to our family at our Air BnB... the food was a hit (delicious)!

I went here a little while back before a day at Joshua Tree National Park. I love barbecue food, even when it's mediocre, so I thought this place sounded good. It was amazing. The sandwiches and ribs are fantastic. My brother got a sandwich that...was not traditional in a barbecue place, but his sandwich was really good. The cornbread looked, smelled, and tasted delicious. I enjoyed all of the foods and this was one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in America. However, if you go here without getting peach cobbler, you officially miss out. It is one of the tastiest desserts I've ever had, and I was never even that fond of cobbler. The bread part was amazing and the peaches tasted fresh and sweet. This is a fantastic restaurant if you are in the area. I'd say if you go to Joshua Tree, it is worth taking some time to eat here. Really amazing food and service.More

My husband and I had dinner at The Rib Co. during our stay in Twentynine Palms. We were craving some BBQ and this place was pretty close to where we were staying. The place had a very home-y feel to it. My husband had a...platter with ribs and a bunch of other BBQ meats and loved every bite. I had a steak and pulled pork, both of which were delicious, savory, and perfectly cooked. The price was very reasonable and the service was great. I would definitely recommend a meal here if you're in the area!More
