We came around 3:30 and they had an hour wait... this is a grab and go place so don't expect a lot of hoopla. Just give your order and take it to enjoy! Portions are enormous for the price, and several very unique rolls. There is a pay-per-space parking lot in the back of the shopping center that's a bit... More

Right on Ali’i Drive (ask the locals about Hayashi Sushi, because it’s a little hidden), and it’s actually called Hayashi’s You Make The Roll. It’s perfect after a day at the beach when the whole pack is super hungry. Extremely affordable and the portions are huge. It’s mostly for take-out, but they do have a few tables outside. Make sure... More

Stopped by around 130pm, the place was so busy we needed to wait for 30 mins for our order. Well worth it. Not much seating, so plan to take it back home or to the beach to enjoy.

I've been getting sushi here every time I'm on the Big Island for the last few years and it never disappoints. It doesn't look like it would be great from the outside which just appears to be a run down shack but don't be put off by that because the food is absolutely delicious (my favourite is the Kai Roll)... Sneak up the alley. Hidden behind a wall is the place that locals go to for big plates of sushi. Ask people sitting outside if you aren't sure about how to order. This place is tiny, and locals call in orders, so they close up while filling these orders. Pay attention and be patient and polite (so Japanese!) (don't leave... More

As a vegetarian, I ordered Inari, an avocado roll, and a vegetable roll. The pieces were HUGE and the rice was cooked perfectly. The avocado roll melted in my mouth. Tough to find, but there is no better value on the island.

Worth the wait! Fresh and delicious local sushi treasure. Little hard to find but worth all the effort. Huge rolls. Wonderful prices. Make an order, wander the area, go back and pick it up! Yumm! About $7.00 a roll!

Always fresh. Sometimes they run out or get so busy that they close the doors. They could have expanded long ago but chose to keep it just right. One of my favorite places to eat on any of the islands.

You need to find this little sushi place tucked behind Alii Dr. Only 3 people allowed inside, because it is tiny. Before I placed my order, I was told it would be 45 minutes to an hour wait, but that was fine. Went for a walk along Alii and the water. Came back, and it was closed until 12:15, but... More

Larger than expected. I had heard so much about this place. Everyone said it was the place to go. I spent $20 on three rolls and ate for at least two meals. It was delicious!
