The highlight is to sit on the terrace and eat oysters and drink cold champagne. My recommendation is that the main course is best taken more oysters, because their cooking during summer period is not on high level.

Mali Ston is one of the prettiest coastal towns along the coast between Dubrovnik and Split, and is worth a stop for a meal. Bota Sare is right on the waterfront, with a sidewalk cafe with awnings overlooking the harbor. It specializes in fish and seafood, which comes from local waters. The food is very fresh and good, and you... More

We were visiting in November so it was very quiet and starting to go cool. Waitress kindly brought table out from restaurant to place on the quay side overlooking the bay and in the sun. My wife and I both went for the Dalmatian Rib-eye. This was a tender steak (not sure I would call it rib eye) with a... More

A group of ten of us came here after taking a wonderful tour on their oyster boat out to see the oyster beds and to have a taste of their fresh oysters. Lunch on the patio on a sunny October afternoon was very pleasant and the food was fresh and tasty. The seafood linguine featured a variety of fresh seafood.... More

Attracted by reports of excellent oysters, my party had lunch here after visiting Dubrovnik. The oysters were very fresh but not the best I had. However, all the dishes we ordered tasted great. There was also, I suspect, a tour group lunching there. Because of this, the service was not as good as I would have liked. All in all,... More

The grilled oysters were expensive and nothing special at all. The grilled seafood platter of mussels, clams and one other mollusk was, overcooked very chewy and cold. Even the bread was bad, lemonade tasted like from concentrate. And they threw in a cover charge on top of this.. Don't be fooled by the appearance...it looks nice but the service is... More

This is one of just 3-4 restaurants in Mali Ston. We chose it due to the nice location and good menu, and were in no way disappointed! The service was friendly and efficient, the waiters speaking good English. The menu mostly contained seafood, which was just what we wanted. We shared a cold seafood starter which was BIG, well presented... More

You can find restaurant Bota Sare, Mali Ston in narrow center waterfront, situated within the old castle. Wide palette of fresh fish, unique oysters, shellfish is prepared as per original local recipes that bring finger licking food to your table (ask for gradele, popara, buzara, brudet). Do not miss to try local risotto, black risotto, and homemade bread from natural fire heated oven. We also invite you to take a boat trip to see Ston's Bay and to visit the place where the Sare family is growing shellfish close to the Banje Island which is owned by family Sare and family Matkovic.
