We booked in here, being one of the (very) few restaurants open on a Monday evening, on the recommendation of Laurent (owner of Chateau d'Urtubie, where we were staying). It lived up to his recommendations. Welcome and service were excellent, food really tasty, and the wine as good as you would expect in France. It's not one of the cheapest... More

The food and its presentation is superb and innovative. Menus give just the right amount of choice and change each season. Fresh fish from the port 50m away, great Basque produce. Special occasions or relaxing lunches on the terrace. Our apartment overlooks the kitchen. We'll be back soon.

Fantastic welcome, service and food. We arrived after our hotel booked our table the same evening in the holiday season. Excellent advice, and our foodie kids were treated with respect and interest. Champagne by the glass and even demi-bouteilles of good Bourgogne ensures a pleasant evening. Yes prices, but not your after beach pizza joint anyway. Pictures will come.

This place was recommended to us by a local. Food authentic, delicious, and reasonably priced. Staff spoke English. Hi end atmosphere.

I went to l'Ephemere just after Christmas for lunch with my mom. From outside nothing special however once we've entered, the restaurant is nicely designed but also not overwhelming. The staff is very helpful and pleasant, always smiling and trying to meet our expectations at any time. We took the 3 courses menu. We were welcome with some amuse-bouche very... More

Found it just opening on a rainy Sunday evening. At 19h30, they had not yet set tables, but were very welcoming. Amuse bouche was a trio of STALE sushi, peanut cream and delicious sliver of raw sardine with olive. Long, long wait for next part even though there were only two other tables & they had arrived after us, but... More

Judging from the chef's more than considerable talent, this place should have a michellin star... Just sitting down and looking at the flatware, and serving dishes you know this lunch ( in our case) or dinner experience is going to be good .. But surprise! It's better!. My husband and I took the menu of two different choices of three... More

Had a fab dinner here with some friends on friday night. The service was hospitable and fast. The food was excellent and abundant. Sometimes these types of restaurants can be a but stingy with quantity but its nbot the case here. Their website is good as well because you can see the menus in advance. I would not recommend this... More

Local friends took us here for lunch. Restautant overlooks the harbor between St. Jean de Luz and Ciboure. Really creative food, beautifully plated, great service.
