Friends invited me as a guest for a birthday celebration at Luisa's, a favorite restaurant of theirs. Upon entry, what a surprise to see the attractive Mexican atmosphere along with a fresh taco appetizer offered with butter or salsa. Next, the lovely fountain and brick Roman arches. Service was pleasant and relatively quick. My four chicken quesadillas were delicious. What... More

All we had was really well tasting. I recommend the Chimichanga as main course. But the servings were too big. I mean it's shame to throw food away. If you take it home you just end up throwing it anyways. Let's think about the environment. When the food is covered with sauce it gets soggy and cold in the end.... More

I was done with my groceries shopping and decided to walk in Luisa's restaurant for a quick lunch. The lunch selection has 12 choices. I ordered Pollo al Carbone and it was worth the $11. I could not eat all of it. The server Armando is native Mexican and was gracious serving me in his language ( as per my... More

From the moment we walked in I was impressed. First of all, the aroma of fresh made tortillas grabs a hold of your nostrils and pulls your eyes to the lady making them right in front of you. Then the man who sees you and tells you he will be right with you in a second, and acknowledges you with... More

Upon entering, they are making fresh tortillas, so was excited that it was an indication of what was to come. Not so! The chips and salsa are good but my chili relleno had been cooking for hours and was mushy as were the enchiladas. The rice was lumpy and most of our entrees were lukewarm even though served with the... More

My husband and I went to Luisa's for the first time on a Friday night. I ordered the crab enchilada and my husband ordered a ground beef enchilada with mole sauce. He liked his dish and said that the mole sauce was better than other Mexican restaurants we have dined at. The crab in my enchilada was dry and the... More

This is one of those places with not a lot of polish and a lot of good recipes. Food here was inexpensive (by 2016 standards) , plentiful and well prepared. Be prepare for a wait on Friday and Saturay nights.

I never expect an Mexican restaurant in the US to compare in either quality or variety with the food one can eat in Mexico. However, I do enjoy American Mexican cuisine if it is well prepared. Unfortunates such does not describe what my wife and I ate at Luisa's. At best, the food was mediocre. The enchilada sauce tasted like... More

Came here with some friends to try a new place (to us) and use an entertainment coupon. So fun to try new places, you find real gems once in a while. This is one of them!!!! You walk into a Mexican "courtyard" with someone cooking fresh tortilla's! What a spectacular smell and ambience, felt like I was back in Mexico... More

I can't say there was anything particularly special about this meal. The service was friendly and the price seemed reasonable. I would say it was fairly standard Mexican food.
