Have been going to Chinooks 25+ years, and vibe and food has not changed. Fresh local seafood cooked simply (not high-end gourmet), in a casual airy bright large restaurant with excellent service - at a great hidden location (away from tourist spots). It is very popular with locals. Great for casual, groups, family groups ranging from elderly to kids, dates... More

We stopped here as part of a bus tour and got excellent clam chowder and fried clam strips. Both satisfied our very picky New England tastes. We were able to get takeout quickly and munched and slurped on the bus. Good stuff!

We had the flight of oysters and chowder. Flight a bit overpriced as some are small. But their personally grown choice was wonderful. Chowder....everyone has a version, but theirs was the best of all I tried including Ivars. A bit out of the way, so you will need a car, taxi, Uber etc. situated right on the fishing docks. Many... Chinook's at Salmon Bay is at the harbor for the big fishing boats that go up to Alaska, and the view of the boats from the restaurant is outstanding. On the walkway along the marina is a moving statue of a sailor with a huge haddock as a memorial to lost sailors lost at sea. At Chinook's the seafood is... More

Chinooks has a great seafood market feel, and in fact has a decent fresh Fish monger on site for takeaway. Highly suggest you just sit at the large stainless salad prep bar seats, and watch the magic happen. This is a casual place, but with exemplary service and wonderful quality offerings. For those visiting Seattle, all the waterfront places near... More

Meet out of town friends for seafood and this came highly recommended. It was a Saturday night and the wait wasn't bad. A great view of the boats! Had a wonderful server who was very attentive. It wasn't the best place for fish and chips but the other seafood options looked worth trying. I will definitely be back to try... More

Chinook's is one of Seattle's local seafood establishments that has a very loyal following - situated on the water with a view of fishing boats and the harbor. Consistently excellent food and service - it's always a consideration for visiting friends, family or business visitors. Their "Blue Plate Special" is usually very good - you can't miss with any oyster... More

So glad this restaurant is close to my house. Chinook's is consistently great. Whether you're seated at the bar or at a table you can expect terrific service. The cocktails are delicious. The seafood is decadent and great value for the money. They always have tempting specials in spite of having great choices on the regular menu. This place gets... More
