La Isla is the perfect place to grab some great small bites after work, starting out an evening, or finishing a wild night out. The empanadillas are amazing after a night of a few cocktails, and their mojito's fell out of the Caribbean. Check it out and enjoy great bartenders and amazing Puerto Rican food.

This restaurant was simply amazing. My family is from Puerto Rico and the food brought me right back to my grandmother's arms. Chicken so tender it melts in your mouth. Traditional sides and comfort dishes. Special drinks made with secret recipes and delectable desserts that will have you ready to move to Puerto Rico tomorrow. The service was divine. Our... More

We went to this restaurant because my granddaughter and her partner live nearby and love this place. Their food sounds delicious, but after all was finished, both me and my partner were not that happy with our choices. Perhaps it was because some of the food was served with a very garlicky dipping sauce and we didn't really like it.... More

We had a group of 8 people. We had mofongo and it really had a puertorican taste. We love it!!. We highly recommend it.

The food is okay overall. Nothing to write home about it. They have combine a few ingredients well but, nothing compares to the simplicity and great home cooking flavors of the Rican "cosina". Do not go out of your way to get here. ***Do not order the Tembleque.

We were pleased with the food and the service. The blackened salmon was great that included delicious sides-plantains, rice and beans, and a mango salad.

We have been to La Isla many times. We just went this pst week as I was looking forward to a good Puerto Rican bistec and a frozen mojito. This is the first time I have ever written a negative review of this restaurant. I don't know if they are under new management or what. We arrive at a non... More

We had high hopes for this place, but we immediately ran into trouble. The room was very hot (no fans or open windows), the service was excruciatingly slow, it was loud and hard to hear and dark. The food, when it came, was a disappointment. The pulled pork was served in a scoop like tuna, and was dry and tasteless... More

We like to come here during happy hour, they don,t take ,reservations, and this popular place can get crowded. The dinner menu is also great, the pork spectacular, also the catfish. I am not a huge fan of the green banana, plantain thing, but the first few still are fun. Staff is great and helpful, but why we really come... More

Puerto Rican food is rare in the UK, so was keen to try La Isla during our stay in Ballard/Seattle. We arrived late in the evening, but it was still busy and atmospheric. We tried the appetiser selection plate and each had the plantain lasagna (pastelon) with pork. Large portions meant we had to box up most of the pastelon... More
