Came here with friends. They have free parking on evenings and weekends. That is pretty cool. Tanks of fresh seafood on display. A lot of dishes I had never heard about. Family was nice running the place. I had the Szechuan sliced pork. Some amazing peppers. Flavors I have never tried, almost numbing. Great aftertaste. Good hot and sour soup.... More

Everytime I go to New Star, they never disappoint. We had 23 people on two tables and the food just kept coming. The Peking Duck was excellent, the Sea Bass fabulous, Walnut Shrimp crispy, mushrooms tasty and tender, the Sweet cooked pork ribs out of this world, Salt Chicken wasn't too salty, the chicken soup a great starter and ended... I enjoyed lunch last week - quite a good selection of luncheon specials ($7.95 - $8.95 range). Lunch is served with a choice of egg flower or hot/sour soup. Most lunches also include white rice. Good size portion - I brought 1/2 of my Chicken & Vegetable lunch home and enjoyed it for my dinner.

Quite tasty and without MSG. The seafood selection is extensive and tasty. The term greasy spoon... Not quite but reflect good tasting food.

This non-descript restaurant lies on the north side of Jackson street, and it was my choice for lunch for a downtown training event, as it was easily within walking distant. The restaurant is dark, and the time for you to get noticed is about average, as nobody was out front, yet was acceptable. For lunch, there are specials of a... More

Yummy food served quickly. The staff is nice and this is a family owned business. I always get the peking pork chop and if they have pork belly, I get that too. Everything is so good here. The seafood is so fresh and they cook it anyway you ask for. One of my faves.

I have gone to dinner several times and lunch one time. Food was consistently delicious. Be ready to have a hefty appetite because they give large servings.

Try the hunan and the mongolian style beaf and chicken. They were amazing. The free hot tea was very much appreciated. We hadn't tasted such great chinese food in years .. I wish we lived in Seattle.

My ethnic-Chinese friends and myself have all noticed that in the Seattle International District, the food quality of many Chinese restaurants are gradually going downhill. A business owner in Chinatown commented that numerous restaurants have changed hands the recent couple years, and the new owners have not been able to keep up, not to mention improve, past food quality. Among... More
