I really didn't order one of everything, but sure was tempted. We went there for breakfast and had scones (wonderful assortment!), croissants and other pastries. their coffee is delicious, too. At lunch, the sandwiches are also inviting. The desserts are absolutely beautiful, and the selection varies from day to day. Not someplace one is likely to stumble across, but well... More

Ok, so sometimes a wrong turn becomes the right turn. While on a recent trip to Alaska, my husband took a wrong turn while trying to get out of Anchorage and we came across this bakery while looking for a way to get back on the right path. Well, we had not eaten since early early morning and decided to... More

This bakery is in a residential neighbor about a 5 minute car ride or 15 minute walk from the major downtown hotels - and it's well worth the time to get there. We got prepared sandwiches for the plane ride as well as bake goods. None on that plane ate as well as we did.

I visited Fire Island a few weeks ago on a mission to check out their cinnamon rolls. I was impressed with the service I received while placing my order and had a nice chat with the owner while I waited for them to come out of the oven (they are available on Saturday mornings). The owner gave me some good... More

Hubby and I made a point to stop are the Bakeshop on recommendation from someone who used to live in Anchorage. Upon entering, you are treated with a view of the baking operation in progress and cases of wonderful breads, scones, muffins, etc. I ordered a raspberry scone and hubby ordered a chocolate croissant. Both were delicious and enjoyed with... More

We ate here when visiting Alaska last year, it was awesome them, and they have only improved! The baked goods are still amazing as ever, the smells while eating are delightful, and they have added extra indoor seating. The staff was good, service quick, and coffee, I believe by Kaladi Bros., was quite good. I reccomend you stop by here... More
