An unexpected find whilst strolling about looking for a meal. Quick and attentive service in a basic no frills, but clean dining room. The meal was delicious and very reasonably priced. We enjoyed it so much we returned to big welcoming smiles the following evening.

My favorite place to get good Thai food. They really have some spicy stuff here, so be sure to ask for mild, unless you can handle the spiciness. Spring rolls were pretty good too. Panang curry - you have to try these.

What a great find! The Bangkok Cafe is located in a parking lot behind the Voyager Inn and across the road from the Captain Cook Hotel. I couldn't get a table on a busy summer weeknight, so ordered "to go" - a green chicken curry with rice for $12.50. It was delicious and easily enough for two people. The menu... More

The service was good but my dish was disappointing. The vegetables were cooked perfectly but the sauce had no flavor.

Visible from the Cook hotel, this is a good place to find some Thai menu with the usual accommodations to local produce. Broccoli and carrot, celery and onion instead of galangka and Thai small eggplant. Plenty of hot chili pepper even if you order Medium, so beware. Tom yum Kung is spicy shrimp soup and the taste was a bit... More

While from the outside this place looks like a hole in the wall, I had read reviews on Tripadvisor and went here for dinner. What a great meal we had. We love Thai food and everything we had was delicious and cost about the same as a Thai meal in the lower 48 which was another bonus. And having been... More

A small restaurant tucked away near the Captain Cook hotel, this is a nice clean place to get a delicious meal served by a friendly staff at a reasonable price.

We had a very nice dinner here. We shared the Tom kai gai soup, which was medium spicy and then the Panang curry. At other Thai restaurants, the Panang curry is thicker, with more coconut milk I guess. So this one was thinner but nicely spiced and very tasty. It is located right downtown across from the Captain Cook hotel,... More

We came to Bangkok Cafe to have many lunches and dinners while staying in Anchorage. The food was delicious, service was excellent and the price was right.

So, you just get off your plane in Alaska nd look for something to eat and directly across from your hotel is the family run Bangkok Cafe; Nice local place with decent food - not what you normally think of your first meal in Alaska, but it was a darn good meal
