In the last few years, Omaha's lost most of its family-operated steak houses as more chains come in. Brother Sebastian's is the same as it was when I first ate there, probably 35 years ago...give or take a decade. Dark warm atmosphere, the space is broken down into different 'library-like' rooms so noise is never a big problem. Service has... More

This is my second visit in as many years. We visit here every year after the Berkshire Hathaway meeting. This is kind of a funky place stuck in the end of a strip mall. The restaurant and accoutrements are dated but the servers are knowledgeable and pleasant as they share the unusual history of the place and inform customers that... More

We had a fantastic experience. My husband was hysterically confused as to why there was music of a monastery playing upon pulling up to the restaurant, but that added to the theme, which was really nice. Very old-school type of steakhouse with a great menu and great wine list. The staff were very accommodating to my low-carb requests, doubling up... More

We had a wonderful dinner at Brother Sebastian's. A reservation was necessary,. and the place was full,. but because of the layout into several separate dining areas the atmosphere was intimate and conversation was easy. Wait staff helped us choose the right size steaks for moderate eaters (go for the Club!). Salad is self serve at the salad bar--on cooled... More

No microgreens or edible flowers here. What you get is an amazing steak. The filet was one of the best I've ever had. Cooked exactly how we ordered, rare. I got my ribeye with blue cheese butter, served on the side, was good but the butter was a little overpowering so it was nice to be able to control how... More

Not inexpensive but definitely worth the price. Staff is very friendly and dress in garb which makes you feel like you are in a monastery. Salad bar is outstanding. Have never had a bad meal there. The premiere steakhouse in Omaha.

I was there for a work event. There were over 30 of us. The staff handled our volume and appetite very well. Most everyone had red meat and there were many positive comments. My filet was delicious. It was a little pricey but I didn't have to pick up my tab on this visit.

In town for business and I asked about the best place to get a steak in Omaha. This place was named without hesitation and they were absolutely right! I ordered a filet mignon and it was tender, juicy, and cooked exactly the way I like it. The baked potato was great too along with the nice salad bar. We expected... More

Hesitant but curious, we settled on this place. From the Gregorian music playing upon entry, to the monk robed wait staff, this was a fun and unique place to eat. The steaks were PERFECTLY cooked, the lobster bisque was also very nice. A fresh "help yourself" salad bar kept things casual; which I liked. If you're looking for "different and... More

Stopped here for a weekday lunch. As we got out of the car we were greeted by monastery type music, almost felt like we should be kneeling! We were taken to a booth in one of the many rooms. Our server was quick and polite. We both ordered the lunch fillet with baked potatoes and a trip to the salad... More
