Great Service!

There was 13 in our party for dinner at 6pm on a Friday night and our server Robert did an awesome job! He kept the drinks coming, appetizers came out quickly, he was able to separate our checks and do it correctly. Our dinner also came out in a timely fashion. I had the burger with fries and it was great! I would definitely go back again!

Historic, Fun and Tasty

We had a high energy lunch here as the College World Series unfolded one block away. Also Known as “The Matt”, the OMF is a large, jumping sports bar set in an 1882 factory building (originally the Stabrie Grocery) and is on the National Register of Historic Places (2007). We sat at the bar, ordering a Shandy draft, a Tito’s and cranberry, a Turkey Burger and a Chicken Wrap. It was highly satisfactory pub grub, and we remarked how clean and light the French fries were. The Turkey Burkey was very tasty and natural and the avocado and mango salsa that came with it were an A+. All of this totaled $43.88 including tax, before tip. The service was very good. One main server was a little too reserved. But our other server more than made up for it. If you are going to the CWS this place is a “must do”. Arrive early and beat the crowd. We walked right in. We saw a line at the door later.

Mixed feelings

Mixed feelings about this place. It is "seat yourself," and when we arrived there was only one table available and it was for six people. We sat there and ordered, and people started coming in needing a place to sit; we offered part of our table to a couple. Our waitress was great, but it must be a logistical nightmare for the waitstaff to have people wander in and sit at an already-occupied table. Our waitress kept up but looked a bit harried. The food was just mediocre and it was quite loud in there; we had to shout at each other to be heard.

Not too impressed

The location was good, the reviews were good, my waitress was good, lots of TV’s, but my burger had no taste, perfectly round like a frozen patty, my bun was cold and tasteless, but it was late and I was hungry. Probably wont go back. If I did I would definitely order something else.

Dinner with wife

We were stay at the Hilton down the street. We wanted a restaurant that was a walk from the hotel. The restaurant wasn’t overly crowded on a Friday night. We had a great waitress that explained that a lot of the ingredients are made fresh onsite. My wife had the Reuben sandwich with fries. I had the French dip with baked beans. The Reuben was very good. The sauerkraut wasn’t over powering. The meat was tender and juicy on both sandwiches. The baked beans had a nice smokey flavor. If I’m ever in Omaha again I wouldn’t hesitate to eat here.

Macaroni & Cheese was Cold, and unnatural shade of yellow.

Met a group of friends at the Old Mattress Factory. I had never been there,,,and found the interior ambience to be rustic chic. The building was an old grocery from the 1860’s. The drink menu had a great array to choose from. I chose the Peanut Butter Milk Stout. This was a VERY GOOD Beer! Give it a try. When it came time to order food, I chose the Burnt Ends & Mac n Cheese. Sounded really good as many places put a signature bumped-up spin on their Mac & Cheese. Food came out… First glimpse was not the greatest. The Macaroni & Cheese had a real unnatural yellow color to it, but the pork burnt ends looked really good. Besides the weird yellow color to the Mac n cheese…it was cold! My pasta was room temp,,,, The burnt ends were nice and hot,,,but the Mac n Cheese was cold. Sadness. So..they put freshly cooked burnt ends on top of cold pasta. I did not return my food, as I didn’t want the hassle. Old Mattress Factory is not a place I would recommend for food.

Only a block away from the Hilton, so an easy walk. On a week night, only about 20% full so easy to get a quiet table or one with views of the tv's. Nice beer selections, and the menu was more robust than I expected. I settled on the flatbread, which was very well prepared. Waiter was attentive, food came out quickly, and I was in and out in a timely manner. Bill was under $25 for a salad, flatbread, and a beer.

Food was good - don’t recommend drinks!

The food was good quality and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Ate here twice during our stay. First visit we ordered two different alcoholic beverages - I am 100% certain that neither contained a drop of alcohol. When we questioned the server she completely dismissed our inquiry saying that she watched the bartender make the drinks. It was a little disappointing that she didn’t try to do anything to hear our comment or to make anything better. I have never ordered a drink anywhere and they left out the alcohol completely, but in this case it happened with two completely different drinks. Second visit we had an amazing server- however due to previous experience we didn’t order any drinks. The bar service seemed very shady or else the bartender wasn’t well trained otherwise the food was a good and value for the price.

Great dinner experience with kids

Dined on a Sat night around 6. Family of four got right in at a table. Service was attentive and friendly. Apps came out right away and food was very quick also. They forgot about a mule and had to remind, no biggie. The Buffalo wings were extremely good, meaty and good flavor. The Cobb salad looked good and wide said was good. Kids enjoyed theirs and all left satisfied. Would recommend.

Looking forward to a return

First time here and will 100% go back. I had the chicken bacon ranch wrap with coleslaw. We also had the spinach artichoke dip(DELICIOUS)!! You get a lot of food. The waiter was very polite and came back often to fill our water. Just impressed with them today!

Popular place and decent food and beer

Our family stopped here for dinner. The restaurant was very busy and loud on a Friday night. It was hard to hear at our table. The wait staff was very busy and service was a little slow. The food was typical pub food and was fine. The beer selection was good. If we came back it we would probably find a time when it wasn't so crowded.

You have try the Salmon. This is a great place for lunch, accompanied by good food and service. Quick but not too fast, the food seems to be orignal and thoughtfully made and presented. I would go here again and again to try different dishes.

WOW...Great Meal...Great Fun!! Want a treat while in Omaha..check out this place right down the street from the Marriot Hotel and around the corner from the convention center. Excellent service, excellent food, excellent price.

Tasty Food; pleasant service

The food at Matt's was very good! We had the Cobb salad and blackened chicken sandwich. Both were substantial and the baked beans side were some of the best I've had. The atmosphere could be improved, but if you like TVs, they had 11!
