Very very delicious food. Best fish we ever had and the most amazing dessert! Friendly staff, really cosy place. Situated at the almost-end of the waterfront, but definitely worth the extra steps. By far the best restaurant we visited during our holiday.

The restaurant we had chosen to visit was closed: lucky us! Our group of 9 stumbled across this GEM of a family restaurant. The starters were extraordinary and the main courses - especially the fresh fish - were outstanding. Everything was fresh or not available...- a plus in a restaurant in my view. Best service in Sivota and excellent traditional Greek food! We had the pleasure of “Mama”, who at first apologized that they could not offer what the entre menu indiceres as it was the end of the season. However, this was not a problem at all...as they had plenty of delicious dishes. We had a greek salad (which was complemented by free home-made garlic bread), a chicken- and a pork kontosouvli. The food was very delicious!! Additionally, we shared a bottle of wine and had a complementary water as well. Top experience, and a must try for everyone visiting Sivota!More
We read about this taverna on Tripadvisor and specifically looked for it and ended up eating there each day. Food was home cooked as you waited with little snacks being served while you waited. This is the taverna of our memories of Greece over 35...years ago! Do go here!More
Good service and very nice food. Started as a lovely, shall we say romantic, evening. Then the heavens opened. Everyone dived undercover and the restaurant staff were so friendly and clearly experienced in the circumstances it was a seamless transition. Grilled octopus was superb. End of season feel - one waiter and busy. We had to ask over and over when our dinner would arrive. Surly and unhelpful. Food was good but spoilt by his attitude.
This is really a wonderfull restaurant with very good greak food. We enjoyed having dinner here two times during our stay in Syvota. Excellent food - try ex. their lamb dishes, octopus, chicken in a nest. Prices are reasonable. We warmly recommend this place -...good service, nice people, lovely view to the harbour.More

Excellent greek food. We ordered many dishes for the table to share. All food was excellent and really tasty. My wife and son are gluten free. The waiter understood this and advised accordingly. Easy 5 out of 5 rating
We tried Castelio for lunch on our second day in Syvota and have been eating there for lunch for the rest of the week. The food is delicious authentic greek cuisine, cooked with a lot of love by Mrs Toula. We tried almost everything on...the menu and liked everything, My favourite dish was Mousaka (probably the best i had in my life). What makes this place stand out is the quality of the ingredients used. You can tell the difference from other places just by tasting the Greek Salad. Feel safe to order meet or fish, everything is cooked very nicely.More
The food here was lovely and fresh, with generous portions and lovely potatoes cooked in the oven rather than chips which was great. Really good value and house wine was good too.
Very nice and original Greek cuisine. We tasted sardines and small fish and they were wonderful, tasty, well cooked. The Greek salad is amazing with fresh and tasty vegetables. Ms Toula’s mousaka is a masterpiece. She is the heart of the place. A nice, authentic...person and a chef to be remembered! Her grandson Stratos is proud of his grandma’s cooking. Ate here 3x times during our visit, had fish, squid, octopus, lamb, chicken and pork, all good, house wine is decent, they treated us very nicely each visit, and remembered us each time we came back. Its set back a bit from the restaurants near...the harbour, quieter and calmer, more room between the tables, not packed in like sardines! Highly recommended, traditional home Greek cooking.More
