hello thanks for the somewhat positive tone in your review but giving me one star does not do my status any good please report "business closed " as i have, thats the only way trip will take this listing down.
The sign on the window read "Turn Key Restaurant Available. La Calia will close July 31. Serious Inquiries Only." I hope the new owners pay as much attention to quality food. Briefly, I had the best scallop salad ever at La Calia. Reasonable prices. Creative...More

Great food, service and prices. Best Reuben I've tried. This was a great break after a morning at the Lincoln museum. 😄😄😄
We agree our ruben is great , if your ever in Milwaukee go to McBobs they were my inspiration.
After we finished the fantastic Lincoln Museum we walked a block to this restaurant and were blown away. My wife and I split a huge and very tasty Ruben sandwich with homemade sourcraut. This a small and possibly unnoticed place has only a dozen table...More

We stopped for lunch before visiting the Lincoln sites. Food was great. Good selection of wines. Service was good, too. Cute little place that has the best scallop taco's! Very convenient to Lincoln Museum and Library.
we thank you for your business

Organic ingredients they even grow their own vegetables and make everything from scratch. They even make their human with carrots in them. Truly delicious food, quaint atmosphere, friendly staff and a welcoming feel.
Its so good to have more choices of places to eat in downtown Springfield so thanks to La Calia for that. However menu choices, while creative, are limited and service is uneven. We're not giving up on La Calia but hope the menu expands; service...More
Maybe you have not been in Springfield for a few years now but La Calia is hardly new to Springfield. We actually just closed after 2 and a half years of business. I will first apologize for your spotty service, your party altho had a...More
Fantastic restaurant across the street from the Abraham Lincoln Museum. It is small, quaint and serves wonderful meals. Our waitress made the experience even more enjoyable!
