Absolutely fab! Great meal. Great prices and great people. Brandy Alexander was over the top! Dennis knows his trade and keeps everyone entertained. All at the bar became friends. Filet was perfect.

This high quality restaurant is located in not the best part of Springfield but has plenty of parking and is safe. It is an older restaurant with lots of atmosphere and steaks and seafood are the specialty. I had the lobster and it was terrific . Baked potato and salad for $17 which was a bargain. Great service and not... More

We had a large gathering of family and friends. We really felt that there had been special preparation for us. The manager and service staff were very attentive. Everyone enjoyed their food which came out hot. This was no small feat considering the size of our party. I can't say enough good things about our visit. Thank you Dennis and... More

First visit to 'the lux', dropped in on a Thursday evening without reservations. Food was great, service was wonderful. Most def will be back. I notice several comments about waiting for food, was never a problem.

We went here for our wedding anniversary specifically for the steaks. The building is nostalgic and the neighborhood sketchy but the food is delicious. They do have some sort of "security" in the parking lot but we'd never go here after dark. Service was acceptable.

We had an AWSOME time at this neighborhood restaurant/bar. We sat at the bar and ate dinner, chatted with the regulars. Dennis, the owner/bartender was so much fun and kept giving us tastes of stuff. Food and atmosphere is 1960 "supper club" cool. The neighborhood might seem "iffy", but felt secure by the restaurant. Stop in too eat well and... More

The Old Luxenmburg was already here when I first arrived in Springfield in 1967. It is a very unpteretentious restaurant with very friendly staff and the food is always eliably good, at moderate prices. The fried lobster tail is a specialty and their steaks are good.

This is an old restaurant that remains in a neighborhood that has deteriorated over the years. I would never eat here well after dark. The parking lot is watched by staff, however. The food reminds me of a typical 1950s style restaurant (as does the decor) where the whole family would eat on a weekend. The food is always five... More

Was given the name of this place by a local when we asked for a good steakhouse. It is a bar and restaurant. The maitre d was phenomenal. He asked us where we were from and made us feel like a local. The special was filet mignon with either shrimp or clams for 15.95!!! The filet was delicious, however mine... More
