Looking for a place for dinner, and decided to come here! Not many places for dinner in Grindavik, either here or Lava. We had the fish of the day which was hailbut, and the salt cod. Both were good. We also had 500ml beers and paid ISK 9400 (about US$86) just to give you an idea of the prices! Went... More

Great atmosphere, food and service. Go here after the Blue Lagoon and get the fish of the day. Looks casual on the outside, but quite beautiful inside, so don't go with half of your silica mask stuck to your hair like we did :/

The Food in this restaurant was excellent. Its located in a quiet part of grindavik but is most definitely worth a visit. The staff are lovely and they even have a service where they will collect you from and drop you back to your hotel.

Stopped here while on vacation with friends. Pretty restaurant all done in pine, with a fireplace The waitress was friendly and helpful. My friends had a variety of burgers and I had the trout. All were scrumptious!

We stopped here for lunch as part of a group tour...what a find! This was simply an excellent place to enjoy fish and chips. My husband loves this meal; he has sampled this pretty much in every city or country that it has been offered. His verdict: one of the best fish batters and fish that he has ever come... More

we enjoeyed our meal, the food was prepared well and nice. The service was good too. The menu isn't that extensive but offered a number of primarily seafood dishes. I enjoyed the fish of the day (Halibut)

Visited on a whim as a party of 6. Members of the party who had fish said how nice it was as were the lamb chops. I had chicken and not sure it was thoroughly cooked. Staff were brilliant-friendly and accommodating. Would go back.

On a cold, rainy evening, when nothing else seemed to be open in Grindavik, we stopped by the Salthusid. We found a warm, welcoming environment, friendly service and delicious food. The lobster soup is a must, the salt cod entree was perfect, the lamb soup got raves as did the burgers and smoked salmon. There was something on the menu... More

Friendly, no frills authentic restaurant. Super fresh fish with a batter that is light and not greasy. Worth a trip. Very near The Blue Lagoon so go after your spa experience.
