Come there and order lobster soup - spicy & salty and very good. For that price you will also get bread and tea/coffee. Sit on terrace and get some sun - you will feel almost like a local

This building was a fishing net factory owned by brothers who now own and operate the restaurant. We came here for our first Icelandic breakfast after our arrival in Iceland. Our delicious meal was prepared and served by one of the owners. While we ate,...More

The guy running this place was so nice. We had the lobster soup and the vegatable soup, both delicious. For the price of the soup you get a free refill, bread and butter. It also includes water, tea and coffee, as much as you like....More

The people were so warm and helpful as we struggled through the wind and rain into the cafe. It was warm and the food smelt so good. Tourists were waiting for the famous soup to be ready and it was well worth the wait.

We stopped for coffee before our trip to the blue lagoon and decided, based on price and friendliness, to return for a late lunch. Excellent lobster soup, with as many refills as you want plus bread and tea/coffee, also with refills. Very good indeed, with...More

Returned over two years after our first visit. Had lobster soup , bread and coffee. Tasted delicious, and sat outside in the sunshine overlooking the harbour. Quite expensive at nearly £15 each though.

Found this place through reviews and sure glad we made the stop. Just a 10 minute drive from Blue Lagoon. Grab a bowl and soup and check out the desserts.

This little cafe, right on the waterfront, serves simple seafood meals. We enjoyed the lobster soup (free second bowl), home-made crusty bread, and coffee (free refills!). The staff was helpful and friendly. Bryggjan Cafe is a charmer. And not expensive, either.

I would not suggest a walk, especially not during bad weather, the area is pretty exposed. As well, as per fellow reviewers, this is not a stoll - it is a walk.

I agree. Probably safest to go near lunch hour. There are several other cafes in the area that serve breakfast.
