Definitely visit this spot if in Boston/Cambridge. Great cocktails and snacks. Cool music, good vibes, great staff.

I was here with friends for an after-dinner cocktail, and I really enjoyed it. In particular I had a "Penicillin" (Blended Scotch, Honey, Ginger, Lemon, Laphroaig 10) which was really good. The place is not "hidden", but there is no clear indication, so if you want to go there just look for the entrance of the "Central Kitchen", and instead... More

I absolutely love Brick & Mortar. It's one of the more authentic speakeasies left (the door in unlabeled so you actually feel cool going in) and the vibe inside is awesome. There's a surprisingly decent amount of seating given that the place is a small. The bartenders are also super nice and not hipster-standoffish. Reasonable prices - my only complaint... More

Stopped by for a drink on our way to dinner elsewhere. No sign on the door, but it's the blue door with stairs up, right next to Central Kitchen. Very good vibe and excellent but laid-back service (in a good way, like everyone was friends and really, they should sit down and have a drink with you). We ordered 4... More

One Onethousand with bourbon, cynar, lemon, and apricot is delicious. The duck far fries are too good to share with other people.

The door is unlabelled, but that is about as hipster as this place gets. More of a traditional bar/pub vibe. Cocktails at acceptable prices, though with a fair bit of ice. Burgers and duck fries were pretty decent too.

I use to love this bar, and respect the staff. I would frequently refer friends and co-workers to enjoy the atmosphere of Brick & Mortar. The establishment is known for having a great and positive vibe about it, but unfortunately, all of this seemed to change or was not visible until now. I worked at upscale bars and dive bars... This bar has a relaxed if extremely gentrified feel and serves up a decent cocktail at fairly ambitious prices. Friendly bar staff helped the atmosphere. Not a bad place in a pair or group but not ideal for solo travellers

I went to this bar on a Thursday post-work after reading positive reviews. I was not disappointed. It's somewhat mysterious- with no name on the door and up a flight of stairs. All brick, with a big copper topped bar. It was just the right amount of crowded and noisy. Yummy cocktails (a little on the small side), and great... More

Upstairs behind an unmarked door, is a bar where serious cocktails are served. Great big and drinks that make you smile. Not a college bar, or hipster place... its a bar for people who really enjoy conversation and good drinks be it wine/beer/cocktails.
