This is the first time I have been to this restaurant. My friends in Boston treated us to dinner. The food was excellent. The best crab cakes I have ever eaten.

My daughter loves fried seafood, but she is gluten free and hasn't found any place that breads their fish without wheat flour. Well Legal does...they use a chickpea flour on all of their fried foods. My daughter is in seventh heaven!!! This has become our...More

Sat outside, service was a bit slower than ideal but pleasant. Good chowda, amazing crab cakes, nice portion sizes, seafood casserole with added Cajun spice was outstanding. Key lime pie was a nice finish. Appreciated the large portion size of steamers for a reasonable price...More

Wow, my wife and I tried Legal Sea Foods while visiting Boston and we were amazed at how delicious their food is. We both had shrimp which was prepared just right. Amazing food, friendly service. We will return if ever back in Beantown.

We wanted to try some local seafood and Legal Seafoods was only a block from our hotel. It was very hot (95) and we were dressed casually in shorts. We were greeted and seated without any problems. Everyone was very courteous and friendly. The selection...More

Amazing the difference between different Legal Seafood locations. Harborside was very good food, pleasant and efficient staff. Cambridge on the other hand, was really plain, overcooked seafood, and server hardly checked with us during the meal. My bouillabaisse had no stock, just a thin tomato...More

Went with friends for a quick lunch of typical Bostonian specialties, ended up having lobster bisque (way too much cream) and shrimp-and-garlic fettuccine (bland without extra salt and pepper). Not too expensive but overall no more than average.

The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish. It’s a scientific fact that seafood is the healthiest protein, so it’s no wonder that Legal Sea Foods located nearby MIT and a whole catch of biotech office buildings in Kendall Square would be such a popular lure. Our restaurant, steps from the Marriott Hotel and convenient to Cambridgeside Galleria shopping and the Museum of Science, reels in residents and tourists alike. We’ve received a boatload of accolades including “Most Popular Boston Restaurant” (Zagat, 2012/2013), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Improper Bostonian, 2010), “Best Chowder” (Boston Magazine, 2010), “Best Seafood Restaurant” (Boston Phoenix, 2009) and the honor of serving our legendary New England Clam Chowder at every presidential inauguration since 1981.
