Staff is extremely knowledgeable, the selection is divine, it's a bit expensive but not made for everyday shopping.

This is THE best cheese shop I have found in NE. After living in France, it's been so disappointing to not find REAL cheese.... until I discovered Formaggio Kitchen! We look forward to our trips to Cambridge just to visit this boutique!

We spend Christmas every year with our daughters and son-in-law in Boston. Our daughters love to cook and cook great meals on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day --- lobster and manicotti for one. It seems they just have to stop at Formaggio Kitchen for the cheese, wine and almost everything else that goes with the main meal. Formaggio never disappoints.... More

On the great Cheese Pilgrimage some call life, this destination was more important than my journey, (which is a whole other story!). As an owner of a small cheese shop, I was overwhelmed by the inedible selection and quality of cheese and the knowledge of the cheese mongers.

Few establishments such as this place have survived the years. And, of course, there is a reason. This is the place to educate yourself (or to continue your e education ... ) as to the extraordinary range of sensation (s) to the palate, expanding the mind, broadening to your world - Cheese, cheese, CHEESE! Gromit! And more cheese ... IT... More

This is a gourmet market with tons of pastries, rare cheeses, veggies and flowers. I like their coffee cake loaf, but at $15 a pop I can't afford it often. The orange chocolate one is my fave.

This is the only place to go if you are a real cheese lover. You can sample before buying, no pre-wrapped chunks sitting forever. It is the finest selection of cheeses I've seen outside of NY. There is a bakery section as well as produce and flowers. Chocolates too!

Formaggio has organic and .local produce, exotic seasonal fruit that you may not see Anywhere else. The section of cured meats and cheeses is unrivaled. Get the shortcakes and the iced coffee at their bakery. The cinnamon bread is an experience. They have beautiful baked cakes and breads. The buckwheat walnut bread is one of our staples. Candies and jams... More

Formaggio Kitchen has been around around for ages, selling cheeses from all over the world. And fruits and vegetables, wine and beer, spices and flowers, home made pastries home made charcuterie, olive oils and vinegars… I go in to get a few things, and always walk out with an entire bag full of delicious food.

If you are a cheese person this is the place. You can sample, be educated about, find the hard to find, the everyday and the unique cheeses that just rock your taste buds. Then pair it with homemade chocolates, fresh fruit & veggies, fresh bread, wine, honey.... Shall I go on? This market is unique, pricey and well worth the... More

Nestled amidst beautiful Huron Village, Formaggio Kitchen travels the world to find small producers who communicate their traditions and terroir through their products. Best known for our amazing cheese selection, we also offer a variety of other artisan foods as well as domestic products from New England and beyond. Our beer selection is small, but carefully selected and our wine offering has a distinct slant toward old-world styles and organic or sustainable production methods.
