Arrived at 12:00 without reservation and had to sit at the bar. That was perfectly fine. Food was very good and bartender was nice.

Great place to have afternoon cocktails and converse with friends. Terrific appetizers, and quality drinks a reasonable prices. Wonderful way to wind up a visit to the latest VMFA exhibit.

Three of us went to Amuse for lunch to celebrate a birthday. The Host and Waiter were very nice and professional when we arrived on time for our reservation. The menu had a nice variety of options and the portions were excellent for lunch. The birthday girl chose the Polenta and Mushroom, our son chose the fish of the day:... More

This was not my first visit but this time we were a bit disappointed. First, our reservation was not honored on time. Waited half an hour with my guests. Service was pleasant but terribly slow. The mushroom with polenta was very good; the seafood combination was good but quite skimpy; the pork chop was overcooked, but the scalloped potatoes were... More

This is a great place to have lunch after viewing the greatest collection of Faberge outside of Russia.... insightful gallery for Nouveau pieces outside of Europe and broad grouping of impressionism south of DC.... we are so lucky to have this museum and such a terrific restaurant like Amuse to dine and reflect on the galleries below. Go back again... More

Along with many in an enthusiastic crowd we enjoyed artful Sunday afternoon dining while visiting several art exhibits at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. We got hungry somehow from all the walking and viewing and enjoyed the pause, the ambience, the food and service. All done in great taste. Reservations a must on busy weekends.

After a late night, on a gorgeous Saturday morning my husband and I headed to VMFA for an early lunch and a few hours with its collections. We discovered Amuse, where we were immediately seated at a table with lovely views of the museum's grounds through wrap-around floor-to-ceiling windows. Much of the food and drink is locally sourced, and includes... More

Been here only once and the mussels were excellent. Very nice meal after a visit to the exhibits. Bright and good views.

On a cloudy Tuesday, this glass-enclosed space simply and tastefully decorated with Saarinen tulip tables, with a view of sculpture and fountains, made for a lovely setting for lunch. The waitperson was knowledgeable about gluten-free options and steered me to some good selections of pumpkin bisque, seared scallops, and a "to-die-from" wonderful chocolate pate. A selection of 10 or so... More

My husband and I spent the morning in the museum admiring and learning from a photography special exhibit. Then we headed for Amuse, one of our favorite Richmond fine dining restaurants, for lunch. We had a table by the window. The panoramic view of the lawn and historic buildings and Chihuly's bright red glass spikes in the sculpture garden pond... More
