I'll start by saying this place is small and what I consider to be a "hole in a wall." There is not a ton of seating. We were promptly seated. The food was soooo good! We had fried oysters for our appetizer and they were some of the best that I've had. I had the catfish and it was amazing!... More

We visited the restaurant with a group of friends. Ordering was a bit overwhelming and food came out at very different times. I was done with my meal before my husband received his. Other than this issue, the food was great. I had the fried catfish. It was THE BEST fried catfish I've ever had. I chose greens and brussel... More

My wife and I broke out of our routine and decided to try something new. Get the Beignets. I had the chicken and waffles with andouille sausage gravy, It was great. My wife had a crab omelet completely filled with crab. It is a nice change from the ordinary.

Our first visit and we will definitely return. Service was a bit slow and disappointing at first but improved as the meal went on. My husband enjoyed his LA Louisiana cocktail and the classic jambalaya which was chock full of seafood and meat. My gator cakes were good but a bit crumbly. Gator bites at the next table looked like... More

I don't like cajun anything, at all. HOWEVER - I came to visit Lady N'awlins for the first time this past week and let's just say it wasn't my last time. Oysters? I greatly dislike. HOWEVER - I had them twice this week. Every 'cajun' dish was overwhelming due to the excess amount of cajun seasoning, this was just right.... More

Friends recommended I'd try this place because I was on the hunt for some rather tasty Shrimp & Grits. I was definitely not disappointed!!! Everything was great! The food, the drinks, and the service. Upon entering the establishment, it appeared to be just a cool, quaint, little bar. It's amazing food is the secret! My husband and I both ordered... More

This popular restaurant/bar in Richmond's historic Fan District is known for their Cajun/creole menu. I've ordered their fried oysters before and thought they were quite good. However, this week we visited and I ordered the Oyster Trio as an appetizer and what a disappointment. I couldn't tell the Bienville from the Rockefeller. One had a way too creamy glop of... More

Lady Nawlins is a typical bar with chalk art on the ceiling and small booths. The reason I will be going back is because they have great beers on tap and amazing food inspired by New Orleans! Bacon wrapped plantains, oysters Rockefeller, shrimp and grits...no matter what we ordered, it was amazing!

We loved the food here! It seems to be a popular watering hole in an area of many places. We were able to still get a glass of wine just under the happy hour price and it was a nice size pour. They brought out some crackers and spicy cheese which was not too spicy. We ordered the jambalya Supreme... More

Our son attends college at VCU and we were searching for good places. This will be top on our list! We took 3 college boys, and we all loved the food, and we loved the atmosphere. The gator bites are delicious, and the spicy shrimp! And we all loved our entrees, blackened catfish - delicious, jumbalaya - delicious. Great music... More
