We have been to this restaurant several times now and usually try to eat here whenever we are in the Richmond area. The food is very good and the service is always friendly and prompt. We are from Long Island, NY and in our area it is hard to find a good full service sit down Chinese restaurant. For some... More

We only went to Peking for volcano bowls and crab rangoons. Both disappointments. The bowl was more fruit juice than anything. And the rangoons were canned crab, not the combination of crab and cream cheese. We ended up not ordering food as a result.

I have eaten at this restaurant probably more than 100 times over 20 years. The full menu choices are especially tasty and reasonably priced. The Sunday buffer is superb so far as cost and selection. They have many large tables if you have a substantial size party. The waitresses really meet your needs. The vegetarian offerings are numerous. I especially... More

Good value. A great destination for family or business lunch and dinner. To me, there are three levels of Chinese restaurants. First is just cheap cantonese, fast sweet and sour. Second is unique combos and seafood offerings. Third is high level asian cuisine. This restaurant is the second, but does so with good quality food and service. We go, we... More

Seriously thr best chinese place my husband and I have found so far! The seven spiced chicken has a great flavor and is really saucy, general Tso is perfect with the right combo of crispy chicken and sauce, and the velvet shrimp is really creamy with perfectly cooked crisp veggies. I highly recommend that everyone give them a try.

The menu items are typical of those found in most sit down Chinese restaurants. We found the sauces to be average at best lacking the complex tastes and consistency you expect in authentic Chinese cuisine. The shrimp and scallops dish we ordered missed the mark both with what was to be a "Chinese BBQ" sauce was bland and the seafood... More

We visited Peking for some hot egg drop soup and we're not disappointed. The soup was delicious and served with hot tea. The service was friendly and very attentive. The food was reasonably priced and was a good value. We will visit again soon.

Disappointed this time, food is good, but egg rolls are obviously not homemade, we were offered no soup and no oranges after dinner. I think they really could have cared less we were there. We will try the other location in West Richmond, but won't be back to this one.

Peking Restaurant is a perfectly acceptable Chinese American restaurant with a nice ambiance and cordial service. Fairly typical offerings on the menu. The Egg Flower soup had the flavorful addition of cabbage. a steak dish (Steal Kew) had very tender chunks of marinated steak though the brown sauce was a bit heavy. Happy Family had plump shrimp but the pork... More
