Great restaurant for tapas, but also as main dishes. Great atmosphere and upstairs seating. Service was very attentive.

We had a very nice meal in this moderately priced, casual restaurant. My meal of scallops was excellent; my wife's chicken and rice dish was nothing special. Fascinating trompe l'oeil paintings on the walls gave the place interest and character. Very pleasant wait staff.

Dropped in with no reservation on a recent Saturday night, it was busy but they sat us at a two top in the dining room , could of had a high top in the bar also. My wife got the veggie paella and I git the chicken and rice. both were really tasty with nothing to complain about. Good value... More

We were shocked to find this great Caribbean gem in VT. When planning the weekend we were not thinking, but after reading reviews, we decided to try it. We started with the nachos, the chips were homemade, more like a dough base, but delicious. We had the coconut shrimp which were awesome, along with sides of rice and beans, and... More

We made reservations for a Saturday night in January. After reading all the reviews, we decided to make this a definite stop while staying in Woodstock for the weekend. We are so sorry we did. Our waiter was very unorganized. He brought us our salads without dressing..bright us a cold appetizer of pulled pork and pulled cicken and then brought... More

Plenty of choices for small dishes (tapas), and main entree dishes. Away from Killington crowd. Mojitos with real fruit juices. Dining room can accommodate large groups.

Stopped by after a walking through town and enjoyed a light meal. Sat at the bar with Carla, the bartender. She was very helpful and a great server. They have a medium sized full bar with tables around the bar , upstairs, and in a separate room. We decide to try the nachos , which were not your average nachos... More

The Melaza has an interesting menu. We started with two great appetizers, the back bean soup and the Empanadas. We tried both the chicken and beef. The beef was my favorite. For entrees we had the Charbroil Skirt Steak “Churrasco, which was tasty but should have been ordered more well-done. Medium rare, was too rare. The accompanying potatoes were nondescript.... More

Stopped in on a recommendation from someone that we met at the grocery store in town. It was amazing! Our waitress, Carla was super! Very friendly and helpful, as we were visiting from Maine. The hostess girl was also great (didn't get her name....sorry) they talked with us about stuff to do and made suggestions on where to go. On... More
