The food is very good here. I had an a la carte combination of a single pancake, a single egg (scrambled) and bacon. The pancake was huge and one of the best I have ever had. The "single" egg seemed more like three. They warm the syrup for you as well. My friend got frnch toast and sausage. The space... More

The Creamery offers basic foods; I had a hot dog and cup of soup while my wife had a tuna sandwich and cup of soup. Nothing special but the food was ok. The staff were nice, chatty, and helpful. We were tempted to have dessert but decided not to. Others said the "mile high" pie was to die for. Be... More

Be prepared for sullen waitresses who yell at you from the door about where you can and cannot sit ( apparently some booths are reserved for regulars) and even though there is no signage on door or menus when my husband put down a credit card to pay with the waitress barked at us "no plastic " instead of saying... Breakfast was yummy but took quite a while to receive. Most all the seating was taken, so could explain the wait.

I live in the area and I always feel a little unwelcome at this restaurant. A snowy day, not busy, no one super happy to see me but I was given a menu. Ordered coffee which was pretty good, you have to ask for Splenda, which arrives in an Altoid box. Two eggs, toast, home fries and coffee, $12.50, plus... More

The Mountain Creamery was recommended to us as an alternative to the high breakfast prices at the Woodstock Inn. Well, $50, bad service, bad coffee, and a couple of less than fresh bowls of oatmeal later, we really regretted not just dining at the Red Rooster - which, by the way, ended up only costing about $3 more with gratuity.... My husband and I stopped for breakfast at 11:40am. First we asked if we could move one chair to have a better view. We were told no. Then we tried to order an omelette. We were told that omelettes were only only made until 11:30. We asked the server if she would mind asking the chef since an omelette is... More

The marketing in the menu states that they use local, fresh ingredients in their food. Well, the $2.20 hot chocolate is water and powder. The tomato basil soup was good but the roast beast sandwich was skimpy unless you are an 8 year old boy. On top of all that, we were met with some passive aggressive behavior from one... More

It has been some years since eating at the Mountain Creamery in Woodstock, Vermont, but I gave it another try hoping that it might have improved over my years of absence. It hasn't. My reaction is base on one simple meal, a breakfast of french toast and coffee which cost $11.11 plus the tip. The coffee was fine, strong and... More

We found ourselves in Woodstock on Thanksgiving eve and the Mountain Creamery had been recommended to us by a local friend. We were very fortunate that the 5 lb. mile high apple pies were just taken out of the oven and the sweet aroma easily convinced us to buy one. When we got back to our townhouse we couldn't help...
